Issue with ranking/matchmaking. I was a gold1 player and at the start of new season was reranked as bronze. But I am being sent against players who are plat and diamond (even some masters) and getting smashed. Have not won a single game since being reranked.losing any joy in the game. Ready to quit.

This has been said many times. The border doesn’t mean much. The number is the thing that matters. Matchmaking will always be based on your MMR and it has nothing to do with borders or placements. Right now the borders are all over the place. You are losing to people around your skill, not people of much higher skill (i.e. MMR) than you.
Yeah the league placemant seems to be whacked out, it has me in Masters right now when my MMR is mid silver, and mid silver is the highest i’ve ever placed at the end of a season.
The matchmaker has been putting me up against people of a similar MMR tho, and I’ve been doing OK.
I do think my MMR is somewhat inflated because I have been having so many people obviously downranking themselves, either quitting right away, or beating me and then surrendering as soon as I give them a GG.
Yeah I’m bad, I’m also old and slow. IDK, i’m having fun.
