I’m new here. I just started the game two weeks ago, and love it! I mostly play on custom, coz here I can set the gamespeed onto lower degrees. I think other noobs also suck on faster speed, just because we don’t have the hotkey knowledge on that level, and sometimes we have to think over what’s happening. It requires time. Also there are tons of repetitive actions what we have to do fast enaugh or we have huge disadvantage in the game. So as a noob it’s definitly better and more enjoyable to play on lower speed, and I think the ranked system should support it. I mean the good players could still play on faster speed, I definitly don’t wanna.
You know, it’s not good for a strategy game, when you lost because of you can’t click fastly enaugh, especially in micro. When you feel you had fine macro, fine build, you didn’t wronged anything, you just can’t keep up in speed, is just feels unfair. ‘Faster’ speed is a nightmare for me.
I think the qulifying-, and bronze matches could be uniformly on normal speed, silver could be on fast and the other (where more practiced gamers play) could remain on faster.
Thank you for reading me! I wish you feels together, and you know I’m not here for ruining your high elo matches, just because I can’t play fast enaugh. I just though if I feel like this, maybe other noobs feel similarly.

It’s bad having different things for each leagues, better start playing with the same settings as the highest leagues so you don’t have to relearn the game. Right now, even if your league is low, you can learn a current and viable pro build and practice it and you will get used to the timings, playing on low makes everything low so the timings change and that’s not good if you want to learn builds.
It’s ladder. If you want a more casual level of play, play vs. AI. Make a custom. If you don’t know the game well enough to play at standard speed, you aren’t ready for ladder. It’s how it’s been for 10 years now. The system didn’t change then and it certainly won’t change now.
It’s not about knowing the game. It’s about hurry. Sientists neither can solve their problems in seconds. On low elo the game is muxh more about how fast you can click, instead of how much you know the game, or how good is your build, if you just can’t make it in time. I don’t think bronze players like this haste while they need time to find out what they should do and how could they react certain situations.
If you think the game won’t change, you think the forum has no reason, so why are you here? Game forums are for devs know what players need and change the game in order to the majority’s requirements

The game was never intended to be played on fastest speed; I’ve advocated more times than I can count for it to be returned back to faster.
It won’t happen, SC2 players somehow think that having the game move at a 1.6x time-speed multiplier makes their dick bigger.
I think anyone above 4k MMR can play at that speed just fine. Anyone above 5k MMR will think putting it any slower will make the game unplayable. 6k+ MMR people could probably play the game completely fine if the game were even faster. The point is, I speak for anyone M3+ when I say its speed is fine as is. If anything, you’re the one suffering from tiny PP syndrome
You should check my 1v1s rank before you insult me. You aren’t much better than I am. Certainly not good enough to be throwing such insults around.
First of all, you’re the one putting down players who are okay with this speed, which is probably the vast majority of players in this game. Second of all, your profile shows up as an error, I’m not sure why but it is what it is. Upon looking at your MMR at rankedftw, you are around 3500 with Zerg only. Listen buddy, I’m not one to MMR discriminate or call people out on it too much, but you are literally trash compared to me. All 3 of my race MMRs are 1k+ over yours. The difference between our skill is ridiculously massive. I could hold you at arms length like a child and you wouldn’t be able to lay a scratch on me even if I stayed up for 24 hours or was very drunk. You are ridiculously disconnected if you think you are anywhere close to skill level to someone in M1.
I’m diamond, you are masters 3… the difference isn’t so vast as to level accusations.

Well Focsicska, unfortunatelly ladder won’t change for that, it’s been like this for a long time, same for SC1, this is so people don’t miss any timing of the build order so the entire ladder has to be at same speed, at most, tone the speed down for the entire ladder, but per rank is not healthy for the gameplay.
Of course, you have campaign, coop and vs AI modes to play in slower speed, but I’d say try to learn the fastest and watch guides so you don’t have to re-learn stuff.
Also, if you’re legit new player, avoid general forums please, contructive stuff here happens but get’s derailed fast, happens way too frequently.

And this is the reason we newer got slower version in starcraft. During LOTV development these are people who constantly reminded us how game is good once we become good we will be sorry if game speed get lowered and so on. Sadly Blizzard listened.
I can feel your concern about game speed. The game really is ridiculously fast paced. But that is part of the appeal. The game really is just as much about keyboard speed as it is about strategy. I used to hate that too but I’ve grown to like it. With more games I’m sure you’ll get used to it too.
In the meantime you can focus on low apm strategies and units or maybe do early rushes so there’s not so much to control.

You’re not splitting atoms here, I wouldn’t worry about the time scientists take to solve actually difficult real world problems and just consider the relative simplicity of SC2.
It’s actually the exact opposite. You can get into GM with 100 APM with any race, and that’s just a little bit more APM than a clock. In Bronze you can get to silver with 15 APM probably; just follow any basic build.
I don’t think bronze players care much. If you’re in bronze it’s because you’re either new or simply refuse to learn how to make good decisions in the game. In fact if you’re in Bronze you should definitely be blindly following a guide because trying to think about what you’re doing is likely what’s killing you.
Actually Blizzard dropped development support for SC2, so it’s apt to think the game won’t change.
What are you talking too are we talking here about same game cause this what you describe is not starcraft 2 that i played last 10y.
I’m not bronze, I don’t play ranked at all. I read about ranked and it wrotes it’s only playable on faster speed. I played already on this speed and I decided to not gonna play ranked with this limitation. I watched many guides already, and I beat my friends in the game who have years of experiance (but didn’t watched guides). Only on normal speed ofc. If they play with me they turn back to this speed.
Back to the topic. The thing that you think you are a good player and I am not, doesn’t mean that you know better what new players need in the game in their phase of ranked, neither to order others to ‘blindly’ follow guides.
I love guides, but they can not tell good strategies for every single scenarios. You have to watch and understand plenty of them for knowing enaugh in any game situations. And there are still opportunities to mix some of them or make your own style, what’s close to at least one guide.

Buddy i was 4 times master 1 in wol 3 times in hots i think i have enough games to can say clickity=skill faster you are you can doo more stuff and your timing hits sooner stronger and if you stand for 1 sec to think instead of click you can gg.
You can all live in ur imaginary world where this is best game ever made but people do not like to play ur game and i know long time ago i was 1 of those go hard od die as casual but look where we are now there is noone to even maintain servers and every terran that not just lost game but have trouble in winning game feels obligated to rant on internet about how broken Toss is despite having ghost since WOL
