It’s funny that Goba is convinced Protoss has been hammered with nerfs yet their ladder representation in GM/Masters/Diamond has been going up steadily since the start of LotV (obviously from the repeated and seemingly unending buffs).
Is Goba BabaYaga btw?
You could tell Rubio was upset and caught off guard / didn’t know what to say. It was a smart strategy. You get them upset and they can’t think clearly so they fall back on parroting whatever they prepped for. Then you call them out for being disingenuous.
It’s just too bad dishonest debate tactics work on so many people.
ZvP lategame is a disgrace to the starcraft brand
One of them is GOATba
Then there are a bunch of imposters it seems
I agree 100%.
I’d like to add that people have a hard time telling the difference between cherry picking as an argument and establishing your conclusion with facts then backing them up with examples. Showing 1 or 2 pro games which could possibly explain the overall trend is somehow cherry picking but when your argument is based entirely on seeing Serral win a couple tournaments suddenly it’s hunky dory (according to forum whiners).
Also if you didn’t see the recent PartinG vs Maru in GSL I highly recommend it. It shows how incredibly bad the Protoss can play and still play a competent late game and win.

Yes, that is the same person. It seems he has also hidden his profile though.
What happened to your other account by the way?
It is suspended because I “threatened” Goba.
These are excellent points. Zerg & Protoss representation are highly correlated and even seem to be inverses. Terran’s representation bounces around a bit but actually stays fairly consistent over time with no overall trend.
That’s very true which is why it’s important to look at the Elo rankings of the players and calculating win-rates from those, which subtracts skill from the equation.
By the way I forgot why this was so bad and I remember now. Parting made a bunch of disruptors when everyone knows skytoss needs storm to deal with viking clouds. In other words parting didn’t scout, assumed thors and went disruptors, was massively behind in the late game because of it.
I posted it twice and you ignore it both times and make up some fake argument.
What is your claim? That aligulac actually represents balance? Do you even have a point?
I just showed you one day as an example where multiple matchups were literally thousands of mmr apart and maybe half the data even involved pro players. With trash data like that I’m not even going to bother working out all the numbers because it’s painfully obvious.
LOL, you’ve now proven my speculation exactly that you are clueless about stats.
This traction guy seems like shonix but minus the attempts to challenge you academically in the subject. The arrogance level is off the charts.
Edit: Lmao now he edits out that part.
Batz gave you the reasons (mathematical reasons) why he is using the portion of data for his analysis. You are the one saying he shouldn’t and you continue to refuse to justify your current stance mathematically.
It’s not a matter of “guilt”. It’s a simple difference in how I see things.
As far as I’m concerned, what someone says on a public forum (any forum that doesn’t explicitly require someone to have an account before reading) is public discourse.
If the accounts are “anonymous”, then linking/revealing the actual person to that account would be a breach of their privacy; but viewing their statements/actions in regards to that account are not.
Of course it’s useful. You can check someone’s prior statements and see where they are coming from or figure out if they are contradicting themselves.
Sometimes people change their minds based on new information, and they will tell you that.
Other times the person is simply hypocritical and knowing that you can point it out.
I agree in the context of a game, but not when it comes to public discourse.
he claims to have a degree in statistics.
Wonder what the professor’s reaction is when traction responds with “gigantic margin of error”
I wouldve breezed through my basic statistics and epidemiology classes if I knew we could do that!
Yes. But there’s another Babayaga account made to troll him, the high post count one is Goba.
There does indeed seem to be a difference in the way we see things.
One side commits to nothing but whether an argument is logically valid. Your side commits fallacies such as the fallacy of association.
If someone’s logical syllogism were dismantled by an anonymous entity, would you demand that the anonymous entity reveal some aspect of himself (including post history and affiliation) before deeming the argument correct?
This is literally irrelevant. You are committing the genetic fallacy.
If you can’t beat a standalone argument, you can’t beat a standalone argument. it’s that simple.
Not to mention the fact that if you are that desperate of committing logical fallacies, you could probably use google search lol. Hell even bookmark posts if you want. I just noticed we could bookmark posts today because I’m pretty noob/apathetic when it comes to using forums lol
Can either of you explain the point I was debating? Because I think you actually have no idea what you’re even arguing about anymore.
Answer the question Batz posed, stop deflecting.
Here I’ll make it easier.

Answer the question Batz posed, stop deflecting.
You actually have no idea what the conversation is about and what my comments were in reference to. One of my answers was about ladder distributions and the other was about aligulac. LOLL, it’s hilarious how you’re so invested in this and literally don’t even know what the topic of conversation even is. What a waste of time.
