I have my rapidfire all setup. I set the correct keys under (choose ability or A.I. Target). Now I am trying to root my spine/spore crawlers by holding down the hotkey and dragging my mouse. 6 spines total and only 4 root. The other 2 just dance around. I can’t figure it out. If I continue to hold the root button, the 4th spine keeps chasing the last issued root command. 5 and 6 never get a turn. Why is this?
You probably ordered them to root in overlapping positions. Swipe mouse faster over a wider arc and only hold down rapidfire as long as it takes to issue amount of clicks that you have crawlers (rapidfire speed varies on your OS/Keyboard repeat rate). If they do the dancing thing, use ‘S’ to issue stop command and then retry burrowing.
Thank you. Interesting, I had no idea it was possible to overlap. I have the same issue when trying to get a large group of queens to plant a bunch of creep tumors. I guess I am overlapping in that situation also.
please, how to assign more than one Key on rapid fire?
You have to edit the txt file in documents/starcraft2/accounts/hotkeys, this video shows you how.
