pvp is a game of who can get more void rays out faster, i havent found any alternate build that void ray rush cant beat

2 Stalkers beat Void Rays Resource for resource (250/100 vs 200/150, gas is more scarce), as long as you don’t risk it by fighting while Prismatic Alignment is up. The recent cost reduction tilted resource more towards Void Rays but Stalkers can still fend it off fine.
You can even load up unit tester for this. as long as you don’t let your opponent reaches a critical mass of Void Ray, you will always trade better with Stalkers, and if you stay on pure stalkers while your opponent builds to critical mass of Void Rays, that’s your fault.
yes but how would someone stop their opponent from just sitting ontop of shield batteries and macroing to a giant void ray fleet, with only stalkers
and keep in mind that they would wait for you to attack to pop prismatic allignement, and if things get rough theres always overcharged battery
How they would overcharge the battery if their Nexus is on the other end of the Map? Are you suggesting that the VR rush includes a Nexus at Natural of the victim?
Yea i have seen Cobra do it, but against players with less 1000MMR.
On how many bases do you think voidrays suddenly become viable to mass? Both them and their production structure are limited by gas.
Mass stalkers eat mass VRs hands down.
How to stop them from macro-ing more VRs then pushing you? The wonders of storm.
Just never stop building Stalkers. If you see a forge, dont just scout around your natural… search where he can proxy to be close by air. Usually the forge is just a fake cannon rush. You will have better stalker production tahn he has VR production. You should have a faster nexus. Once you take out his proxy Stargate(s) he will be way behind. But yeah… if he gets up sheild batteries it is going to be a real pain in the ***.
Archons surprisingly also murder VR.

Not really that surprising, stalkers do well and have the armour tag. Archons are really good units, deal splash and don’t take bonus against voids.
Yeah… but I have still been surprised how fast they die. You can micro the VR a bit but it just doesnt work out. Especially if there are blink stalkers we well in the mix.
