Post your ultralisks nerf suggestions there!

As title says. How should we nerf most OP unit in the game?

Bananas have a soft shell. Therefore we need to soften the shell of the ultralisk to make it into a bananalisk. We must remove the armor upgrade from the cavern!!!

Wouldn’t it be better to start it the other way around? When they spawn initially they don’t have tusks but bananas. When they attack bio-units with it, the bio-units get the status well-fed, making them having double HP and a bigger attack but twice as slow.

The bananalisk could be upgraded to the cucumberlisk, increasing the hardness, size and damage of attacks, still giving any bio-unit the well-fed ability after doing damage. Only after a cucumberlisk killed 10 units it can be morphed into an ultralisk

Another option would be to give them the same status as a collossus and make them also vulnerable to any form of air attacks (vikings, phoenix,…) or one could just git gud and kill the spacecows :wink: .

It’s a matter of having the right units to counter them. Generally if you have a well-balanced army, you can handle them:

  • Terran: Liberators (also, having supply depots with a single unit gap between them can confuse their movement if there’s something with a higher target priority behind them). Landing Steady Targetting 3 times will also down one if you’re good with positioning. Otherwise, make your bio army more Marauder-heavy.
  • Zerg: Brood Lords (the Broodlings will constantly stall them); general Roach/Hydra isn’t too bad either.
  • Protoss: Immortals (also, the same thing goes with pylons and single unit gaps)

Remove normal attack of ultralisks, and instead cause them, once in a certain range of their target, to rush forward without being able to turn or adjust their trajectory, damaging units in their path, until they can’t move forward this way, at which point they bump and get stunned for several seconds.

Would that be a buff or a nerf?
