Haven’t fully tested this, but if you queue up units in the gateway and warp gate finish’s research, all queued units are canceled without refund. (tested only with Vorazun)

If you transform your warp gate back into gateway, then the unit you queued up will continue training. They’re not cancelled but rather disappeared along with the gateway.

Been reported numerous times, actually. They need to adopt the functionality of the ladder Warp Gate transformation.

It’s been like this for a fairly long time, just don’t chrono your cybercore when it’s researching warp gate at the same time you make a round of units from your gateways and they won’t be lost.

I was just coming here to make this bug post. Thanks for already posting.
It was supposed to have been fixed by Blizzard’s own “ninja update”, but I was still finding it there (as of late Nov. 2022)
Don’t think the new changes have actually been implemented yet. Hopefully this and a few others fixes will appear in game soon.
