Ping issues on Korean server

Hello, I wanted to get back into the game. I’m now living in the Philippines and I set my preffered language to Korea (40 ms), but I get placed against players with 200-300 ping. It feels like I get forced onto their bad server connection. Is there any way to stop this?

yeah set your region to the right one not your language

If someone from Brasil plays vs me, I am forced to play with 300 ms. They balance the ping… Setting preffered region to Korea doesn’t help.

thats the way it is bud. if your have to play others cause no one in your entire area is playing it connects to the closest server between you and the guy you got matched with. your problem is your in a small rando country that probably dont have a lot of players playing sc2. the only thing you can do in a situation like this is start looking for peeps in your country to play with.

I should have 40 ms. That’s my ping to KOREA. You can see this in the option menu. But i get 200-300 half my games… because people from Brasil, EU , NA play on Korea. And sc2 doesnt give them 200-300 ping… no it gives BOTH the massive ping. That’s not a good system.

well, then go around the philipeans complaining to people that they need to play sc2 with you. again if you got no on in the phillipeans playing then the game is gonna match you with people elsewhere. theres nothing you can do about it. would you rather sit in queu for 3 hours waiting for another phillipean to get on and play or would you rather the game match you with some one else so you can play when you decided to play instead of 3 hours from that time.

Matching me with other people is fine. But if those people have way more ping then me 200+… Blizzard has a system, you both get it! And my point is. Give me the 40ms and give them the 300 ms if they play from Brasil. 200 plus ms is unplayable. It stops all micro as Terran.

again your missing the entire problem, YOU are the one not finding players in your area causing YOU to que into other regions to play other players, not the reverse. SO YOU are the one who has to take the 300 ping, as YOU are the one who has to connect to different servers to get a match since there are no players queu in your region. So if YOU want it fixed YOU need to get more people playing in YOUR area.

You dont get the point. I connect to KOREA 40 ping.. i should get 40 ping…… KOREA is my server bro.

After some research, the ping i see is my ping. So it’s not the lockstep mechanism. Il try and fix it.

For people reading. A VPN gets blocked by Battle net. A router optimizer not. i use Exitlag and it works perfect to get the low ping i wanted.
