If players were all mature, then smurfing would only consist in having an alt for anonymity of region reasons. However, as things evolved, what people do refer as smurfs are users trolling the leagues below theirs. 
That’s why, while both are smurfs accounts, those could be referred as freelosers, why what you do is more akin to having alt accounts. 
That’s why this forum sometimes looks as one sort of big family. The amount of humor from each side is sometimes akin to complicity. ^^
