I think everyone should get one or two choices of maps to remove from their pool. Just a simple little check-box next to a list of available maps when you select random for map choice.
Thanks.

No no one should(If they still get random exp bonus for that). Thanks.
I’ve grown to like random missions with Random Commander. You really learn a lot about the game. For examples, 1) you’d think getting Zagara on DoN would be bad, but she goes a long way towards finishing by night 3 (although honestly, dunno what to do if it went on longer. I guess make Abberations, and Bile Launchers?).
2) or Karax on Cradle Of Death. Just make a couple of cannons for defense (use SoA to supplement that), don’t bother with tower upgrades, and put every thing into units, their upgrades, and SoA upgrades. He can push surprisingly fast and well when you lay off the cannons, and no point in bothering with offensive cannons when they’ll just get destroyed anyways (save for the last section).
Oh look, another veto map topic.
Let me save you some time, this won’t happen.
It’s been years since this came up.
I totally agree with you on that. That was my experience at my first few hundreds(picked commander but random map). After that I grew tired of allies that screw chain of ascention and something like that. I even play Scythe which is cool map by itself, less often, because alot of allies like to kill bonus sleaver for the sake of killing my workers at expo.
And Everyone should if the exp bonus goes away/is reduced
Now Blizzard probably won’t add it (even though they should) because
Are you proposing “filters” that block some missions from “Random Mission” selection?
I can see a use in that because there are maps that I don’t like but that is not a big issue, it is very minor actually.
If you simply don’t want to play a particular mission, don’t run “random mission” just select and play any missions you like to. And if you do get a mission that you dislike from Random Mission Selection, you can suck it up and play or apologise to your ally and leave (or you can just leave but that is not nice).
He is right you know. Sadly
SC2 Co-op development are getting very little support by Blizzard these days, that’s no surprise. Any little support they get should be focused on Co-op maps more often (We have 18 Commanders but 15 maps).
Why not? Is it such a problem that people arent forced to work around maps they dont enjoy?
Don’t get exp and forced is different words. You don’t wanna play random maps? You are not getting random exp. Simple.
Exactly the reason I don’t play the three maps that require ally input for victory. Most often ally is not competent. Only takes a minute to quit and start a new game.
At least on other maps I can still win if ally doesn’t lift a finger all game.
So you deliberatedly start maps you don’t wanna play. You deserve no exp whatsoever. It’s a shame such players don’t get time bans for such a behaviour.
If only there was some way that players could exclude such maps from the pool, thus saving everybody time, hassle and frustration.
I’d like random commander if it only limited it to ones you actually own, but No Fun Allowed Blizzard saying no fun allowed.
You have the way - play preselected map. If you want randomness - use random generator and pick map by it’s number on list you made for yourself. But do not make problems for other players just because you can.
What problems am i making? And why should i be the one going out of my way to fix your problems?
We don’t have problems. For some of us, we don’t mind playing all the maps. But when you veto, you drag us into your problems.
Forum is full people who are adamant in their opinions.
I don’t think neither of you are wrong as your opinions are based on truth.
While some people agree with Kelthar’s opinion that the option to filter out maps you don’t like. I agree this option is nice to have. There are upsides too, getting extra Exp when you mark off long missions for shorter missions like Void Thrashing. That will really help leveling up to 90 and beyond.
But I also agree with Chickenator that this isn’t very necessary especially you already have an option to choose your mission that you like.
Besides as KrikkitOne said, the developers won’t develop Mark on/off feature because not only it isn’t very necessary but they won’t be able to, they are not supported enough as they used to. Just look at Patch 4.12.1.
So, there isn’t much problem. In this argument, there are good and bad based on right thinking and perception from each side.
How? In what way could my not queuing for a map possibly give you a problem?
You don’t fix my problems. You are making them. Play alone if you can’t respect your ally.
