Opinions on Vorazun Void Rays?

Because they are really really cool.

Other than that, because you need far less tech to build them, and far less upgrades for them to be effective. And because they’re air units that can attack both air and ground.

I have been playing Vorazun P2 up to lvl 13 (before stealth unit resurrect and for the most part before corsairs get invisible) and …

My corsairs were crushed super hard against heavy air unit but also fared very poorly when faced to phenixes early on (the -25% damage does not help either). Also there is the issue of multiple 1hp units which remain after several disruptive webs on the ground.

I know VRs are supposed to be bad but they made my leveling much easier.

Shouldn’t you be using Dark Archons against air? They tend to clump up so one Confusion can take care of them easily. Dark Archons deal splash damage so they clear up multiple 1hp units with ease.

Just give lv1 talent a gas reduction to all Vora unit instead of just DT.
This would fix most of her early game and even late game problems (i.e your unit is squishy)

I was not able to make them work although maybe I just need to play them better, I don’t know.

The issue I had when playing dark archons was that they took the aggro very fast (therefore died very easily if not careful enough), they cost a lot of gaz and their standard attack does not do that much damage so against heavy air (which also does not stack that well) their spells would not reduce the HP fast enough and once it stopped they got focused, Yamatoed, etc.

So maybe they are great if you manage to make them survive until a critical mass but VRs were far easier to use as core anti air in standard brutal (except against scourges and mutas which corsairs already eat for breakfast).

Yet again everything I say

Void Rays are the best! Skip to 2:00

Aouch, that wipe hurts. Poor guy.

Then you are bm. Letting your ally die without reason is inacceptable.
