OMG Terran won so much money in 2020!

Just kidding! Terran wins the least prize money of all three races at 474k (vs 654k for Zerg and 543k for Protoss). This is compiled from every tournament earnings entry recorded in Aligulac for 2020. Full data set:

A quick comment on the trolling that is occurring in this thread:

https://i.imgur.com/GsevoCh.png

  • Citing a wiki page that anyone can edit and which, itself, cites no sources isn’t a “debunking”. Anyone can edit the page, and there’s no way to verify it since their sources aren’t published (my sources are published).
  • Total tallies can vary slightly depending on the start/end date of what is included in the set. For example, some tournaments started in 2019 but ended in 2020, so should those be included or excluded from 2020?
  • Total earnings can vary slightly due to currency. Some tournaments are payed in USD. Some tournaments are payed in Euros. Some websites attempt to convert between those (Aligulac is one such website) while other websites might not.
  • Rambling like a lunatic about a “batz” doesn’t help your point.

Yep, liquipedia shows other numbers, and I don’t remember anyone saying T players were bathing in prizemoney, specially because Z wins a lot more at every level.

What’s so funny is that this is said unironically. TL. net reports similar numbers and also shows Terran wins the least. Do I need to circle it on their page for you?

TL.net reports 654K for the top 10 Terrans ALONE vice 474K for all Terrans.

Are those similar to you? Pass what you are smoking bro. Actually I dont want any, come to jesus and lay off whatever you are doing.

Lmao. Aligulac AND teamliquid are in agreement that Terran wins the least prize money. Thanks for posting the corroboration!

Also the teamliquid page doesn’t provide sources for their figures. I’ve provided a break down of who placed in what tournament, how much they won for that placement, for every tournament and every placement in 2020 (according to Aligulac).

Are you ok small bird? Your reaction is… unsettling. Have you spoken to an adult about how you feel?

I’m doing amazing actually. Thanks for asking random bar code, hidden profile user.

It is good news! Pls remember that shouting does not win of the argument. And it is not end of world for protoss to be op. The op worked hard to share something with us. And you were very rude!

Didn’t you get the memo? A wiki page that cites no sources and which anyone can edit is MoRe CrEdIBlE than the highly specific, detailed source that lists every placement in every tournament from the highly respected Aligulac! No, posting data with no source and then claiming it comes from Aligulac is rude. Insulting the intelligence of every person with half a brain and takes 2 seconds to look at TL.net knows that is rude.

Hell you can go the Aligulac earnings page and do the math and know that his numbers are off immediately even from the Aligulac numbers that he is supposedly citing.

My sources cited are Aligulac and TL.net, not some pictures off a table I made. Kick rocks.

The source was posted kid. Take off your bias goggles (did Avilo write your prescription?).

Yes you can punch in every result listed in this table and verify that the numbers are correct. I encourage you to do so with a few of them if you are brave enough to tempt being wrong.

These numbers can vary a bit depending on how you compile them, first and foremost since tournaments are often payed out in different currencies (and how you convert them can vary slightly). It’s perfectly normal to have slightly different figures.

The biggest assurance I can give you about this data set is that it is from Aligulac, and it is compiled entirely error-free by a computer program. Teamliquid’s page was written by any person who wants to edit the page, and is probably compiled by hand and thus very error prone.

Or I can look at Aligulac and know that you dont even match what you purport to be citing. Kick rocks.

Your bias is severe kiddo. I’d say it’s comparable to Avilo’s. Another way the exact numbers can vary a bit is how you define the date range for what tournaments to include. Some tournaments started in 2019 but ended in 2020, for example. Did your list include those, or exclude those?

Ya’ll need to type faster! Watching this live and it’s annoying seeing the “reply…” buffer!

Ah, I see your point. Seeing the TheKraken here is very rude for shouting and provides data that is next to junk. Very rude indeed, and so is hiding behind the barcode.

Hmm, why are there four 1st placement in your data for the same tournament?

Lmao. Look at the trolls switch between their alt accounts. They are desperate to attack the original poster and not his arguments, which means his arguments are to tough for them to address!
