Novas 2nd prestige rework

it is seems like p2 for nova is a lazy work, i bet noone uses it, i suggest rework it

Advantage\Disadvantage: all active abilityes and upgrades are improoved but has new disadvantages in unique way.
for example:
Nova:
Ghost Visor also becomes activatable passive that reduses nova’s max energy by 20 while on, but shows red dotes at x3 range
Cacuseus Reactor increases Novas energy regen rate instead of health
Operational efficiency additionally restores 25% of energy, but snipe now costs 25 hp
Infernal Projectiles have an additionally increased range, but reduses angle of attack

snipe energy cost is now 80, but damage x4
Sabotage drone damage x2, but its movement speed is halved
Nuke cd is doubled, as its strength and radius
shotgun has x2 (1.5) angle of attack, but increased eneregy cost
Holo decoy has improved ai, blink ability with cd 3 sec, 1.5 sec after blink ignores 50 damage, and deals x2 damage, does not lasts limited time

Units:
marine better optic: does additional 1 range, but +10% atkspeed or movespeed
marine Superstimpack: cd -33%, gives 2x effect, but effect holds 2x less
marauder Suppression shells: additionally lowers enemy armor for 0.5 per shot, effect stacks and lasts 1.5 sec after last hit, but marauder permanently has slower atk speed
marauder Magrail Munitions: slows marauder by 33% movespeed upon use, but has doubled damage
ghosts snipe: now affects any target, has doubled damage (or can be improved by mastery “Nova primary ability improvment”), but cd is doubled
Ghosts triple tap: additional 2 targets, but can only target biological targets
ghosts EMP: now does damage not only to shields but also to enemy health, but no longer depletes energy, or/and no longer decloak affected targets (can be simply replased by grenade)

hellion Infernal Preigniter: burns enemy for additional 20 dmg in 2 seconds, but no flat 15 damage upgrade
hellion Jump Jet Assault: leaps for additional 2 range and gains additional 2 armor, but no more stuns
goliath AreaClass targeting system: has +1 additional range in both modes, but 10% less damage or 50% less damage but 2x more atk speed
goliath Lockdown missles: stun lasts only 2 seconds, instead of 3 on mechanical, but also stuns for 1 sec organic targets OR deals aoe damage
siedge tank Spider mines, has no cd, but places one mine at the time, at cost of 10 minerals
siedge tank Graduating range: +2-3 more stacks, but lesser aoe, or backwards OR unsiege gives regen for 5 sec, for total 30% of hp but max hp redused by 20 %

Liberator Raid artillery damage against structures x1.5, against units /1.5
Liberator Smart servos unsiege gives regen for 5 sec, for total 30% of hp but max hp redused by 20 %
banshie Advansed cloaking field additionally can be turned on 15 sec supercloak, but for 10 sec after - no cloak
banshie Rocket barrage also can target structures, but only deals 60 dmg instead of 75
Raven Covert triage no longer cloaks target, but heals 50% faster
Raven Enhansed manufacturing only allows to store 2 stacks of abilities, but cd is halved
Raven Turret has x2 damage and atkspeed but lasts /2 less
Raven heal drone can heal 2 targets at once, but lasts /2 less
Raven rocket deals x2 damage but only to single target

so now it is more of Ability and upgrades based prestige than just “we are out of ideas, so we will change 2 things cd, thats all”

No. Just make airlift cd equal to 5-10 and remove vision requirement for it. This would make prestige good for “tanking” at least.

P1 is army focused and P3 provides a unique way of hero play. So in terms of the focus, P2 focusing on top bar is the correct approach.

The tweak/rebalance should be aimed to optimize this focus. I think nova can be removed entirely as a substitute P2. She is available at 4min, which doesn’t provide any “additional” critical roll as a commander. So that’s the disadvantage, to take away this tool as P2.

As for the advantage, we should try to buff the top bar. Not only should Airlift have a short cooldown of 2min (or even less), it should have up to 3 charges. Griffin Strike can be changed too (doesn’t matter). Drone should become invulnerable and perhaps serve as “pockets” of engagement zones your army can tactically fallback into.

I think that would give more clear focus and more unique style.

Add: 3 charges, no vision needed, defense drone deployed on drop off

Subtract: Airstrike (remove instead of 4x cd)

Advantage: All topbar CD and mineral costs are halved.
Disadvatnage: Nova is unavailable.

Improvement was made.
Additional advantages:

  1. Griffin doesn’t need vision to transport units
  2. Griffin creates powerful shockwave that disables enemy units/buildings for 5 seconds (2 seconds for heroes)

Additional disadvantages:

  1. Griffin no longer carry allies

I also agree with 3 charges and I would like if the defensive drones can move like healing drones.
I don’t know what else to substitute for advantage but removing Nova or taking away her critical role seems weird for me.

Yep, it’s weird how despite being a rebel with presumably less than cutting edge battlecruisers, Raynor’s BC’s can warp without vision but the Griffin, a craft so advanced it canonically does not exist yet can’t.

I hate her P2 prestige. I levelled her to P3 but I never played a game of P2 because of how boring it is, it’s just standard nova with more teleport. It’s lazy and unimaginative.

I think they can experiment with swapping out some of Nova’s equipment for P2, that was fun in the campaign. They could add a THIRD mode for Nova which includes her reaper gear and that Blazefire Gunblade. I would love to be able to use that in co-op.

A flying Nova would be kinda hilarious.

Maybe the plan was making the player use tactical airlift in a more offensive playstyle, like swann with Hercules + Siege Tanks.

problem is, you trade your best wave response, which is too much.
I think a different disadvantage would be enough.

I always thought that P2 should be the reverse of P3, assault suit oriented but no stealth suit. Reaper suit with stronger shield ability and a blazefire gunblade with an enhanced shotgun ability.
