NO Sound on the Game

Sound worked for a while on my Mac mini M2, then after the latest update, there’s no more sound.

Observations:

  1. On the “Options > Sound > Output” dropdown menu, there are no other options except “Default”. I have several sound output devices that are selectable on my Mac, but they’re not showing up in the game.
  2. I can hear sound when I connect my Bluetooth Headset. Also, the “Options > Sound > Output” is now populated with a list of sound output devices.
  3. With the Bluetooth Headset connected, changing the output device is possible, and sound can be heard. Disconnecting the Bluetooth Headset disables the sound. Also, there is no longer a list of selectable sound devices available in the “Options > Sound > Output” dropdown menu.
  4. Sound is also available when I plug my iPhone via cable. Also, the game connects to the mic of the phone through the “Continuity Camera” and “Options > Sound > Output” dropdown menu is again populated. Disconnecting the iPhone or disabling the “Continuity Camera” removes the sound.

after the last update? this game hasnt been updated for like 4-5 years

the game is clearly not detecting your sound drivers. the last update did mess up the game for mac users, to the point where lots of users had to reinstall. try to reinstall, see if it helps.

Same problem on my Mac Studio M4 Max. Interestingly, the game DOES work with my AirPods, just not over HDMI. If I change sound out to the Mac Studio speaker it works there, too. Everything else from YouTube to other games work over HDMI, but not SC2 or SC Remastered.
