This would be the Cerebrate that represented the Broodwar Player, who was loyal to Kerrigan. It seems unlikely she’d kill the most powerful cerebrate just for the heck of it.
Character needs a name though, like “Pflargg” or whatever.
Theme:
Very, Very Large armies of Weaker Units.
Abilities and Units:
Swarmling Strain Zerglings.
Broodwar Hydralisk, except it has Heart of the Swarm Roach abilities.
Unlock (Level 5) Adaptive Armor, does not require in-game research.
Unlock( level 10) Corrosive Bile (Slow enemy units 25%): Requires in-game research.
75 minerals/25 gas, 5+1 damage, +2.5 vs Psionic and +5 vs Armored or Massive, “Medium” tag instead of light or armored.
Broodwar Mutalisk, which morphs into Devoourer.
Broodwar Ultralisk
400HP, 6 armor max, 200mineral/200gas cost, speed upgrade and armor upgrade, single target attack, 4 supply (Much weaker, but cheaper than SC2 Ultralisk) One change is you could take the Chitinous Plating upgrade Twice, igiving 8 armor.
“Matriarch” (Broodwar Queen Flier)
Has Parasite, Ensnare, and Spawn Broodling and would be a dectector. Ensnare and Broodling require unlocks and in-game research.
“Manifestation” (Unlock level 15)
Morph a Drone into a body for the Cerebrate. If you control the Cerebrate, your maximum supply is increased to300.
Cerebrate Abilities:
Zergling Reconstitution (Limite 10 per 30 seconds) , requires in-game research.
Hunter-killer: Allows you to morph Hydralisks into Hunter Killer zerg heroes with double stats. (subject ot balance) cost a lot of minerals and gas to morph. Requires in-game research.
Automated Gas Mining:
Allows mining with fewer workers to save on supplies, and allow unique build orders with faster gas income, like Vorazun or my “Tassadar” suggestion…
Creep Colonies
You can build a Creep Colony for 50 minerals and a Drone morph. A creep Colony absorbs 1 mineral and 1 gas from the ground (unlimited) every 5 seconds (or whatever subject to balance). So eventually it would pay for itself in minerals and you’d be getting free bonus gas. Also the Cerebrates Hatcheries, Sunken Colonies, and Spore Colonies would absorb 1 mineral and 1 gas each every 5 seconds, so you get a lot of money if you make a lot of colonies early in the game…and with the Manifestation of the Cerebrate, you’d have 300 max supply, but your units are weaker than other factions units.
Does not get “Inject Larva” so needs to make “Macro Hatcheries”, like Broodwar Zerg…
Okay, this is the basic ideal. Broodwar Zerg units were “weak but very large numbers” so that’s the theme here, with a few deviations.
