Hi all,
The new update introduces a bug that breaks map to map loading in custom maps. This is causing some games to be unplayable. Is there any chance we can get some eyes on this?
Error message:
MAP TRANSITION FAILED.
The map to map load was aborted because the server failed to find the author of the source map.

I can’t start any custom campaign. No one working anymore. (Unable to locate map author). Yesterday was working…

I’m getting a 'Map Transition Failed - The map to map load was aborted because the server failed to find the author of the source map’ after the latest update to the NA server (v5.0.15.95841).
I get this error on the map Oh No Its Zombies Arctic Updated battlenet:://starcraft/map/1/309215
The game has two maps and two loading screens. A generic one which successfully loads and then the game crashes when it attempts to load the specific map chosen for that game.

while they are at it, they should also fix some other bugs with the map to map load feature, like how it calculates playtime incorrectly, and sometimes shows background ui elements through the load screen. And for the love of god please remove the “leave” button.
Same I can’t play any custom campaign anymore, was able to just few days ago

In the next couple hours, give the map to map loading another try. If it doesn’t work, give it some more time and try again.

Hey @Leviathan-1945, any insight as to why this one got looked at so quickly(and had communication) but the missing ladder finishes and maps missing is radio silence?
I don’t, sorry.
It might be because the map to map loading issue was more easily fixed with a hotfix, whereas the the other issues may need a more involved patch. But that’s just speculation on my part.
Appreciate the reply, I’m wondering how you knew “bliz was aware of the map loading issue” do you have a direct line of communication? or you saw it somewhere?
I guess I’m checking to see whether there’s somewhere I can look to confirm that the missing ladder history bug is being worked on, or it’s likely to remain unfixed due to Blizzard’s limited resources
MVPs have limited communication lines to Bliz. As a “support” MVP, I can talk to Support.
Support isn’t involved with bugs. They aren’t the ones who collect reports or fix them. But some of them are members of other teams elsewhere in Bliz. So occasionally info about bugs makes its way to me. And as long as I have permission to post about it publically, I pass it on to the community.
I haven’t heard or seen anything about the missing career histories.
