Both Carriers and BC require a nerf in my opinion. They both can be countered but it is much harder to counter them than it is to use them.
There should be a balance between how easy it is to use something and how difficult it is to defend against it.
That is the key weakness of SC2. It is a great game but many things like mass BC, mass Carrier and cannon rushing is much easier to use than to defend.
I hope the next big RTS (AOE4) does a better job at this. Blizzard is unlikely to correct flaws like this since they do not matter for pro players, only for normal players (99+% of those playing the game).

sorry but I agree with Thyphoon on this one. The only people who don’t think carriers need a nerf are people who don’t play 3v3’s or 4v4’s. Simple as that.
OMG, WM. Tank, Lib, Medevac (autohealing) and half of the terran army that fights by AI is going to be nerffed…
Not only teamgames. Look at the meta on pro scene. 5-6 VoidRays into Storm+Carier, I m sure this is 7-8/10 games. Protos is absolute busted. They ruined so many openings, and T/Z is forced from begin to play defensively, and longer game, while Toss can do dmg with very little amount of units.
Ápropos watch how good AI for Carrier is. How high priority has Infestor/Viper vs lets say Hydras/Corruptors. Usually, AI shoot against a unit that attacked it, but yeah… Infestor is shooting at high dmg and high rate 
Burrowed fungal is OP against Terran though, I don’t think it can come back.
Rather give neural 1 more range, or make it so the neuralling infestor has lower attack priority. The main issue with neural is your flimsy infestor insta dies when you drop neural if any of the protoss’s massive range army gets even a whiff of it. Which is dumb (same issue with playing neural vs tanks. Neural vs thors sounds great until 1 siege tank you didn’t account for instagibs your engagement plan).
Only Liberator can counter carrier, you can test this in unit tester, but it is too easy to be killed, especially if Protoss has void ray. And finally terran Air Force (Liberator + Viking) needs 2-2 upgrade in order to counter 0-0 upgrade carrier.
Nothing dumb if infestor die by splash damage anyway if he burrowed same oracle revelation and end

It’s the « and ghosts » which is important here, you just need to EMP the HTs and then EMP the interceptors over your marines, stim, and then go for the carriers once the interceptors are dead.
That applies mostly against a full carriers MS HT in the open though, if there are zealots, colossi, disruptors or flux voidray, you could get abused easily with just ground (which is why you won’t see marines ghosts used at high level, where mass carrier is also more of a transition). ![]()

Mamiiiiii my lovely HT… as Bronztoss you have still universal fighting units - Archon, VR, Tempest, Carrier army that can do 90%of job done as mobile army air/ground.
I know, Bronztoss need to decimate Z/T otherwise is no satisfaction there.
