We NEED a Starcraft movie(s) or movie series!!
The Starcraft plot is so compelling, moving, and well thought out. I have always been infatuated with the plot behind Starcraft ever since I was a 6 year old kid. I replay both the SC1 and SC2 campaign probably twice a year because I love reliving the story so much.
I think if a movie series or TV show were created for it, that it would do extremely well. It has all the elements of anything good on TV nowadays: TONS of action, love, comedy, sarcasm, anger, revenge, politics, and it is set in its own unique universe. I seriously get the chills during some of the cut-scenes… they are so amazing, especially in the SC2 campaign.
A TV show or movie series would be amazing, and I think it would be an extremely good thing for Blizzard. Hell, I’d pay to see it, and I don’t say that about many things. Please consider this. A Starcraft movie series would out of this world.
This may be a shot in the dark, but it’s something I’ve yearned to have for many years. Maybe with enough support this could become a reality.
- A lifelong Starcraft and Blizzard Entertainment fan.

Yea, i guess if put at capable hands the Starcraft Saga could compete with the Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones.
Personally i would prefer a long serial of the type of Game of Thrones.

Yes. I want too. But I consider the expected earning of starcraft movies in china. I’m sure they will get yelled at by their boss.
As a fan: Nice! I need it!
As an investor: How stupid!
I want Blizzard employees to have fewer jobs to do as far as possible and I can enjoy their product at the same time. low-risk, small-cost and high-income is the best method. ( Sorry, I’m greedy on the matter, it’s not a game. I must be greedy. And that’s why I don’t trust pro players talk about anything about balance. )
And I think to give me more commander and campaign is better than a movie. I can enjoy the campaign CG too. CG is enough.
Calm down…Don’t do stupid things on impulse, just like the feeling I play starcraft 2.
Searching for the method to balance these two kinds of groups ( Fan and Investor) is an interesting thing for me. Market survey is important, I will ask Chinese university students and middle school students about starcraft movies next time. Even I think it’s a stupid idea. I’m searching for the method: How to do the games as blizzard and sell the games as Tencent at the same time. It’s interesting.
I have thought of this all my life, a starcraft movie have the potecial to be absolutely incredible

Yes, I do think it would be expensive to make given that it would require a massive amount of special effects and elements to build the fictional universe. BUT I still think the profit potential outweighs that risk. I do think a movie series could rival some of the best out there like Game of Thrones, Star Wars, etc.
Short no
Long no it won’t
It is much cheaper to make sci fi effects and sci fi Movies than it used to be with the technology we have right now. The thing, is you still have to spend a lot of money on marketing, and WarCraft movie was not success, I think they are hesitant at the moment.
I think a series would be way better. A full blown movie would be cool, but there is so much to unpack in every race and how those lore points interact, especially in politics, that a series would be able to explore are the different points much more effectively. It would probably also get into Netflix easier, since they wouldn’t have to do the full advertising a movie would need

Series would be awesome but first you need to secure funding for it by making a movie. Call it: The betrayl of Sarah Kerrigan and roll from there. gg ez
The thing about a StarCraft movie is that they have to make it a pure CGI shock and awe action movie. If they tried to add a strong story, it would fall flat–but an hour and a half of pure CGI blood and gore between 2 races, with brief interludes of dialogue to link the whole thing together, culminating in a 3-race FFA would be pretty good
All of the Warcraft movie’s flaws were in its story. All of its strengths were in the CGI and aesthetics
I would say It would be very unwise for a movie, you have to make it as a series. Maybe just 5-6 episodes for first season, just see how good it is for the audience.

Honestly tho, I hate movies that are too action packed or rely on cgi like a crutch. Movies are visual stories, so if the story is bad, everything else is worthless. I do think that a series would better develop the storyline, unless there were a way to make the movies long and in depth plus action like lotr.
