Need a mutation banlist for mutant+ matchmaking

There is few more random mutant combination is so uncomfortable for some commanders. (sometime you get very easy on mutant+ and sometime you get +3+4 experience in some random mutant+ combinations.)

if add a mutation banlist for mutant+ just like “every player could ban at most 3 mutation in matchmaking” will get a better experience.

Veto option just won’t happen. This topic has been brought up many times.

The core issue is that they need to actually fix the follow:

  1. Individual mutator scaling, an adjustment on most mutators is appropriate without taking away too much of their individual difficulty.
  2. Mutator interactions, there are a combination of mutator interactions (your specific issue) that are not only extremely-unfun but are out right bugged, as highlighted again and again by many people (as well as M’s bug hunts).
  3. Mutator difficult list, there are a handful of mutators that don’t belong in their tier list. This compounds the issue in #2 where added poor interaction combined with an outlier mutator can make a Brutal+1 game be as tedious as Brutal+4.

These issues are well known since Brutal+ system was rebranded from the custom mutation. And have never ever been given any attention to be fixed. Meanwhile, new mutators scattered across time keep being added in, as a band-aid solution to keep weekly brutations alive.

Conclusion? Sadness on top of more sadness.

Same thing was proposed with maps and it was still objected against.
There were several reasons, it slows down the queue, if you can just get out the mission reason why bother adding them etc.
But of course the biggest is “why add unnessary complexity?”
This proposal is no different, I agree that some mutation combinations are hard due to incredible synergy but what you are suggesting conflicts with the three things I mentioned.
If you don’t think you are not up for the challenge, then apologise to your partner and leave and try your luck again.

And besides, Brutal + is a higher difficulty and more of a challenge. You can improve your own skill with particular commander by accepting it no matter how high the synergy is (you can always split micro and make use of reflex).
