Corruptor/Viper in my experience does not do well vs carrier/tempest/high templar. To get enough corrupter together to 1 or 2 shot a carrier makes them pretty vulnerable to a couple of storms. Vipers get picked off pretty quickly during the approach by a couple of tempest. Carriers have so much shield and armor parasitic bomb is mostly worthless vs. them - especially if they can sit over shield batteries. A bunch of infested terrans could usually bait out the storms and distract interceptors so that corrupters could move in. Yes - it was a pretty good counter and could probably use some nerfing, but I donât see any good replacements with the removal of infested terrans.
Balance isnt a reason why you lose ib low leagues⌠That is correct.
But there are design choices that shouldve been made in the past to try to keep casuals. You dont balance the game around them but you make design decisions to not make any one race too fustrating to deal with/play as⌠Etc.
Obviously, balance takes priority, but those are things the sc team should have kept in mind during each expansion rather than alienating the casuals each expansion. (Particularly lotv.)
Except thatâs exactly what happens. The terran lands an orbital, drops 15 mules, holds the base for 30 seconds, and a brand new army pops out and runs the enemy over. There was zero risk to taking the base and the army that pops out was free - payed for by nothing but energy.
Orbitals are an incredibly powerful spellcaster just due to mules alone and they donât even cost supply. In fact, they have two other bonkers strong abilities in addition to being a flying base that also gives supply.
Mules need to cost 25 minerals each and to keep early game economies the same they should mine 25 minerals more.
Ok, since mass orbital is OP lets give the mules a cost and then we limit Zerg to 1 queen per hatchery. If we are going that far with stomping free units lets hit it like we mean it and get rid of free vision and those free units that come from inject. We should be all for this right?
lol. viable on condition they are never discovered until you make 15 of them? viable in a sense that you forget to make a tech lab all game? Terran received so much derp to air splash damage that mutas are now on par with a DT allin (except they cant morph into anything more useful). Basically, just hope they never scouted it or didnât accidentally make a thor.
Mr. DrBatZ is right. Orbitals are OP considering the abuse the terrans do with them. Wineterrans like to wax poetic about Protos alledged free Third-Base (Terran BS), but they drop dead when you ask them how is possible that they can have a post 20-minute-game with 180 Pure-Army-Supply?
Terran hypocrites shold be sent to Goba-Facility for processing/education.
BatZ is right.
P.S. Forum-goers are advised to not follow suggestions from the likes of Bourne (a most wanted wrongdoer in the Top-Ten swindlers on the INTERPOL list).
Who will help Intepol in their noble cause of arresting this swindler will be rewarded with 100 000$ or with a pet-Baneling.
I want a pet-AdeptâŚ
For research purposes!
Too dangerous (even without Glaives) maybe a pet-Disruptor?
P.S. You must call for the complete evacuation of the City and all Villages in a Radius of 150 Km. before playing with your new pet (Disruptor).
I just want t slap her around a bit, and ask her why she cannot compete with her brother, the Zealot, and why he is better at everything she is supposed to do.
Then, I will break out the Infestor Neurals⌠at full Energy!
we donât need too. we remember what zerg anti air was like BEFORE the infested terran buff.
you mean far too expensive for far too little gain as it stands.
Queens donât make free units.
They do just the same as MULES. You cannot outproduce Zerg, when they have Queen Injects, and they dont even need to take Minerals from your bases.
Inject makes zerg units for free? Nope, sorry, thatâs the mule!
Injects spawn additional larvae without the need for additional hatcheries which would otherwise have had to be made to produce those units.
Therefore, under your definition, Queens produce free units.
Does it give you a unit without paying a cost in minerals?
In exactly the same way as mules!
Thatâs laughable. MULES give you 220 minerals for nothing but an energy cost. Inject gives you production which still has to be bought and payed for with minerals.
Wrong. But weâve been through this song and dance already and since youâre to stupid to actually understand why youâre wrong, Iâm not going to go through it again since I have better things to do. Especially since practically everyone on this forum has under no uncertain terms pointedly said the same thing.
Youâre wrong.
I have 100 larva and 0 minerals. Can I make a unit?
