Note: I’m not saying that Blink all-in is imba, I’m saying that it costs Protoss too little given defensive tools that Protoss have (SB, Recall).

Besides, speaking of Gateway units, I wouldn’t call Adept underwhelming either - for an early game unit. Only gateway unit that is bad at the get go outside of cheese is Zealot - until the Charge is done ofc.

Playing Nexus-first is not a mistake, its a consciously chosen build order. A gamble, that may or may not pay for itself.

Putting Bunker several seconds later than it should have been IS a mistake. It is telling that you can’t even think of any mistake done by the Protoss that would have such grave consequences. Only thing that come close is if in PvZ you screw up with wall-off. In PvT, Protoss have easier early game by FAR.

Professional players play BO3 and BO5 games, on ladder people play BO1. On top of that on ladder you don’t know who you play against and what is their preferred playstyle. On ladder scouting is mandatory.

Besides Heromarine is a stronger player than SoS an he knows it thus he can afford himself to play from position of strength.

I argued it many times that if ladder had an option of playing BO3 instead of just BO1 it would’ve been good for the health of the game.

While Reaper ramp wall-off is annoying to say the least, there are still ways to make it into the Protoss main to check tech building, however what is even more important is that there COULD BE a proxy and Reaper takes so long to build that you can’t order it reactively. If you scout potential proxy by SCV you have to have reaper to scout that proxy in time. $uck$ to be Terran these days, I guess.

I said many times that I believe that FF cost should be reduced and range of WP should be increased by 1 (by either WP speed upgrade or by default, but in this case WP should cost something like ~200 gas becaue +1 pick-up range is a huge power spike).

Actually, I have another idea: what if opening Gateway would cost minerals? That would suddenly increase the cost of WG push without weakening Protoss ability to defend at home.
If you think about it, Protoss have very cheap production compared to e.g. Terran: Barracks cost 200 minerals and either 50 or 25 gas upfront and about 30 minerals of lost mining time (by SCV that was building that building), and 46 seconds + (36 or 18) seconds of build time - compared to just 150 minerals 46+7 seconds of warp gate (and zero lost mining time).

This could be the reason why Protoss all-ins and pushes hit so hard.
