8 gates in GML and than 3d behind. Terran counter attack does nothing.

Chargelot warp-in can kill double medivac drop without any micro done by Protoss (other than warp-in) and terran hiding his bio units behind mineral patches.

Which by default means that “Stalker” is not a bad unit which means that hypothesis about Gateway units being “bad” is disproved.

There is a FUNDAMENTAL difference between doing Nexus-first build and playing Reaper-CC and forgetting to put a bunker in time.

Equivalent would be if making Photon Cannon on Natural was so essential, that if when Reaper come and you don’t have it you loose the game immediately. Also having it building doesn’t count: Terran building do not build themselves, so if Bunker is not finished in time than it is not finished at all.

Actually even this analogy is wrong, because you can be making Photon Cannon behind and stall a bit, but in case of Bunker it have to be in front. Furthermore, your marines are exposed and have to be in bunker already or they risk never making it into the bunker.

Protoss initial units are so good in fact, that people in GML put 3-d fast Nexus even when playing against 1 base all-in, because gateway units plus battery overcharge gives Protoss THAT BIG safety net.

Nobody skips Reaper scouting and especially in TvP where Protoss have 100500 cheeses each of which requires different response and which can kill Terran if response is not ideal.

Scenario I mentioned is quite real on the ladder. There is a 2 RAX reaper opening which is pretty good. Normally Protoss are so confident of their early game invincibility in vs Terran match-up that they don’t build more than 2 gateway units. In fact I’ve seen Protoss that build only single adept and that’s it. In this case its a win for me, but imagine how confident they feel about match-up that they only build a single unit!
