So, a week ago Starcraft 2 didn’t even start anymore after one update (workaround: pull the plug on the inet connection, wait until game starts, then reconnect the PC to the net, or you won’t get access to battle.net, without which you can’t play the game properly), then since the patch three days ago or so, the landscape textures are gone and are replaced with a shader that looks like an old Blinn shader with its glossiness settings set to like a trillion… the game is basically unplayable now.
I know it’s free to play, but seriously guys: What the heck? Two weeks ago, you had a working product, and now I have to pull the plug to get it even to the loading screen only to find the landscape textures totally missing with a blindingly glaring shader, that doesn’t just look ugly but makes it unplayable (can’t see where protoss buildings are getting warped in for example). What’s next to happen? That the 3D engine caves in?
I reinstallted the whole thing and it didn’t change anything.
I really don’t get what you guys are thinking… it doesn’t make sense to me to break a working system, and for what? A “war chest” update?? Come on!
Really frustrating.
I’m giving up on you now, it doesn’t make much sense anymore to see things fall apart on purpose.
