Are there any low APM builds for Mengsk? Like ones where you don’t have to keep replenishing his army?

Just keep your command centers in a control group and spam troppers constantly. Just behind where ever your army currently is.
Can I rely on an army of Royal Guards?
Replenishing army doesn’t require much APM. I can get 200/200 faster than most people with just 53 average APM (39 EPM) according to my last replay.
Royal guards actually require the most APM. To avoid microing them a lot, don’t make Tanks or Blackhammers. Also, you can right click the ghost (Emperor’s shadow) abilities to turn on autocasting. The Pride has a 120s cooldown on Yamato and is very strong, so you should make at least one to support your army. Don’t forget the extra attack range upgrade.
The only Royal Guard-centric army is the Emporer’s Shadow. The rest have a lot of weaknesses that need to be addressed by the troopers.
Meh, not really. If you make the right thing for the enemy comp at least. As long as there is no air in attack waves, mass marauder can comfortably solo all the waves without losing units on standard brutal (yes even reaver/disruptor, they kill too much before they can die).
No, too expensive. And you’d pile up so much minerals. No reason to ever not build troopers.
It seems that not all APM counts are equally demanding. I feel that microing in battle is less demanding than constantly switching your attention between production and combat.
How many bunkers do you normally need to fend off an attack wave on Brutal?
Aegis guards and rocket troopers is usually my go-to army build and it has yet to fail me. As long as you keep your troopers behind your guards you should have little casualties.
So that’s a moving army with no bunkers? (like Raynor’s Bioball)

Yeah, trooper/marauder/medivac for Mengsk is a reliable bread and butter build that should be able to steamroll any brutal mission against any comp I can think of. The troopers are very cheap and, unlike Raynor, the marauders do not die to splash damage. You can think of Aegis Guard as more akin to supercharged immortals than regular marauders.

Mengsk has a lot of moving parts that need to come together. Because he has low mobility, you must build defenses and / or earth splitters. Mandate generation should go without saying

The best for low apm is probably mass earth splitter bunker, salvaging and building forward.
Better than Raynor cus like WireBender said the Aegis Gaurds are more like Immortals and there are no bunkers involved whatsoever. You can throw Medivacs in the mix as well like what was said, I personally don’t use em cus they like to fly ahead too much and get blasted, same goes for the Sky Furies. If I lose a guard, I just replace it. To me it’s faster than rebuilding and/or waiting for a medivac to heal.
I can say from experience that the only way a medivac flies ahead of the rest of your army is if it’s either not on a-move or because it’s clear out of energy. Just put them in the same control group as the troopers and make sure you have enough that they don’t run out of juice, and they should never fly ahead and die again. And they can outheal many mutators, let alone a standard brutal army, so they are more than worthwhile.
How many bunkers do you need for an incoming wave? Earth Splitters are terrible at moving targets and can’t hit air targets.

How is a battlecruiser army for Mengsk?
- Mass the troopers. They’re the cannon fodder of the army.
- Don’t go mass BCs without any other support. Trooper/BC is pretty alright though.
Eh, it’s all about practice with leading the shots. Same as Griffin Airstrikes and Laser Drill Concentrated Beam.
You’d be surprised with how few bunkers you can get away with if you convert a bunch of men into Labourers to repair them.
The main advantage of more basic troopers is more mandate. If you are really solid on your constant production, you can be rather slow to get your third CC in favor of loading up with assault troopers in order to get more consistant power, since effectively the upgraded troopers are the last ones to die because the ones who live become the upgraded ones.
