Melee Map With Full Sight

I’m trying to help my friends learn how to play starcraft, but I’d like to be able to play against them while seeing their stuff so I can do tips and we can do a “reaction to action” type thing, where I make an army then allow him to counter it. Are there any maps or ways to be able to have sight of the whole map so that I can help him while fighting him?

load up a game and have him play against an ai, you can move yourself onto the spectator team and set yourself as “referee” so you can use chat during the match, for a player who just started i would do easy or normal as very easy basically turns the ai off.

type in “black sheep wall”

yea lol. the cheat code from brood war that revealed entire map and got rid of fog of war

Hey

There is an extension mode called No Fog of War (NFoW) which removes fog of war.

To create a game with an extension mode:
Click on custom and then melee and then choose a map and instead of clicking “create lobby” click “create with mod” button. On the window that pops up just type “fog” using the search bar and the mode will come up.

If you want more options like removing the fog of war but only for one player or being able to control your friend’s units to show them things etc. there is another mode called Spawn What You Want . In the mode click on the “player” button on the upper left side of the screen, select the players(you and your friend) at the section where it says “ (0) neutral “ and then click on “shared vision” for any player. Same thing with shared control or many other options. You can also, as the name suggests :), spawn whatever you want and edit any unit however you want. I guess you will have to trust your friends not to cheat and sneak in a couple more units with that :stuck_out_tongue:

Other than these two modes there are so many other modes and all you need to do is search for a keyword.

You probably know this one but I also recommend using the arcade map called LOTV Unit Tester Online to try out units and army compositions with your friends. Just search for unit tester on Arcade and it should come up. On the options you can change the terrain size, add-remove upgrades, turn on-off vision etc. It is very easy to use.

Hope this helps
