So here’s something that’s been bugging me : Max friend count is wayyyy too low
Between IRL facebook friend, clan, community and just straight up nice encounter on ladder, the 200 friend limit is wayyyy too low IMO.
I understand this is made so it’s not too heavy on the database, but wouldn’t be possible to upgrade it to something more… realistic? Considering the game has been out for 10 years. I mean, overall, that means meeting about 20 people max per year xD
So while I understand the requirement for database to have a limit… What about upgrading it to… let’s say… 500?
What do you think people? Blizzard?
Seems like a small enough upgrade that could be awesome for some and not require too much efforts

We could definitely use a bigger cap on the max # of friends. Just think about how many games we have on the blizzard app and besides that, the same person could have smurfs (I myself bought 2 WoL copies so I have two accounts).
It’s pretty easy and often that people add more connections to their friend lists, as a lot of the games we have here can be played in teams. You add a friend’s friend and it just continues from there. And when you reached the limit, it’s quite frustrating and awkward you have to remove someone (randomly?) in order to make room for a new friend.

question, out of those 200 friends, how many of them have you spoken too or interacted with in anyway in the past… 6 months?
I’ld say i have about 50 irl friends on there, and out of those : About 5? But they irl friend… Pretty sure you understand how I feel about deleting them…?
Of the other 150? Considering I’ve been forced to delete sooo many recently, thus this post, I would say… 100? 120? I mean it’s a guess, but my general answer would still be :" Most of them "
I’m in a clan of over 200+ people, i was back in the days one of the admins of some of the biggest clans on Sc2 (GGK, Ris3n, Flam3s, etc) and you make good connection and good friend along the way… I mean, this game has been out for 10+ years, you know what I mean?
those 50 friends all play starcraft? i dont know anyone else in real life who plays starcraft. or are they from other games?
Sc2, Overwatch, Diablo 3… It’s all the same friend list
I don’t think common people have the habit of removing friends from their friend lists because they haven’t chatted for 6 months. People remove friends for worse reasons than that :3

In medical school, I have met over 20 people who play SC2.

I’m in engineering : We all play video games, and it happens Blizzard’s ones are kinda popular, right? ^^
It takes so little to fix, but kinda nice to feature at the same time. For modern tech, it’s just so easy to do at the same time.
