It’s possible to use full 180 mastery points in Co-op.

How to reproduce:

  1. Load " Maguro’s Max Mastery Map " on arcade
  2. Quit the map after it starts
  3. Change masteries to your liking
  4. This works only for one game. After a game you will need to load the map again and set your masteries

Basically commanderdata.xml get overridden by custom mods in arcade, and it affects menus as well. The effect is mostly visual only, but you can increase total mastery points to 180.

I wonder if it’s a door left open by the developers to maybe one day, come back yet again on Zagara to find a way to make happy those unsatisfied with the sets having moved around, when using a prestige other than P1 (main target of the moving).

Tried it, didn’t work for me (EU server if it matter).
I first thought maybe you had to choose the commander first, then load that map (so that changes aren’t overridden by changing commander), but that didn’t work either.
Well not like it would have helped leveling for prestiges xD

I didn’t know about this exploit unit I used your overlay, and found a couple of my random allies had 180 mastery points on the EU server. In the replays, sure enough, my Alarak partner’s empower me lasted 50 seconds, and death fleet cooldown was 4 minutes. Stukov partner’s Apocalisk and Aleksander cooldowns were 3.5 and 4.5 minutes respectively.

I wonder if whatever this is, is actually required to make things work, seeing how it didn’t work with me (didn’t try again since then though) playing ordinarily.

I get inconsistent results too with my 2 accounts: one where I paid for all the commanders, campaigns, and mission pack. The other account I don’t put any money into it, but acquired Swann, Zagara, Vorazun, Abathur, and Fenix for free. Both +90 mastery.

The paid account I can get 180 points on NA and AS server. Free account I can get 180 points on NA server, but only 157 points on AS server. Haven’t tested the EU server due to the lobby timeout issue.

Addendum: I just realized that free account is only 157 mastery anyway. So Max Mastery must be limited to account mastery. And sometimes I do get that lvl 90 mastery bug.

I wanna try this but I’m concerned I might be banned for exploit.

Though if you gotta be 180+ mastery for it I guess it’s not relevant for me anyway lol.

Blizz pls don’t fix this. Let it be a “feature” so that players can have fun. This unofficial 180 mastery method enables new playstyle to co-op and I actually re-download starcraft just to play with 180 mastery points (I uninstalled earlier this year knowing that no new content will be released). Co-op is dying, and this method is like an adrenaline shot. PLEASE DON’T FIX THIS
