Map publishing access!

Hello. Can you open access to the publication of the map for “Project Dead City” to its author?
It’s been almost 3 months since the author couldn’t post an update for the map. We’re tired of waiting!!!

Unfortunately, Bliz isn’t taking requests to publish. They select the accounts based on whatever internal criteria they have.

Is there any way to allow the map author to access the publication and update of their map?

If the map’s author creates a petition on the forum with all the necessary information, will it help to add them to the list of people who can publish and update the map?

Despite the closure of the publication, the author continues to develop and improve his map, hoping that he will be given the opportunity to update his map.
We, the fans of this map, have been waiting for new updates for a very long time.
All of this started in the spring, and summer is almost over. It’s been a long time. The game itself, Starcraft 2, has long since died, and the only source of entertainment for people is the game library and custom maps. We desperately need the author of the “Project Dead City” map to be included in the list of people who have the opportunity to publish and update their maps.

Are there any clearly stated internal standards?
I haven’t uploaded any videos or hacked anything while publishing the map.
It hasn’t even been that long since I started publishing the map.

Publishing was only possible from July 15th to 17th, and has been suspended since then.

When I polled map creators on the StarCraft 2 map creation forum, I found that more people were unable to publish maps with a 7:3 ratio.

Unfortunately, no. Like I mentioned above:

The plan as I last knew it was to eventually reenable publishing for everyone once the issues are fixed. The only official source is the Bliz post pinned at the top of this forum.

Unfortunately no. The criteria are internal, thus not public.

Are the technical works on August 6 related to the Game Library?

How much longer to wait???

operation cwal…

Jokes aside, it could be a several more months.

God, how many more years will we have to wait. It’s taking a very long time to solve this problem.

I’m a player on the Asian server, It seems like NA servers are experiencing the same inconvenience.
But I have no idea what the internal standards are,
and I feel like this level of incompetence is truly unbelievable.

Most games don’t leave serious issues this long.

Did you know that some maps have been deleted due to reports from malicious users and are not being reopened?

Give me ACCESS! Brrrrr

If they can’t fix the exploit, they should just give up.

Hasn’t Blizzard essentially given up on StarCraft 2?

They’re wasting time, and the situation isn’t improving at all.

I don’t know why Blizzard has been disabling publishing for so long and what they’re doing now.

Just close the opportunity to post videos and open access! And only then you will fix other vulnerabilities!

I don’t care! If they want, then let them block access forever. Then there will be no such clowning.

Let them either open access or block it forever. At least people won’t expect anything from them.

The thing to keep in mind is that SC2 ended development almost five years ago, meaning it’s a low priority compared to the actively developed games. Add to that, SC2 no longer has dedicated teams anymore. So, for any work to be done, staff must be pulled from the other franchises, and they have priorities of their own.

In other words, it’s going to take longer to fix issues that it used to in the past.

I have heard that. Just like with any penalty, the map authors have to submit a support ticket to have the situation reviewed.

You aren’t privy to anything going on behind the scenes, so such assertions are baseless, Tera.

Because it’s proving to be a challenge to remedy. Changes to the system to prevent the ilicit behavior while at the same time not affecting legitimate users isn’t always easy.

Hence, how long it’s taking doesn’t immediately equate to how much Bliz cares, or how lazy, etc.

It should be fairly obvious that it was made by those who wish to protect minors and avoid legal actions for inappropriate/illicit/illegal content appearing in their game. So it’s not dumb/stupid/idiotic as you seem to believe it is.

Easy to say by those whose content will not be affected.

WRT “filing an appeal”, as one of the staff of an affected map, our appeal was filed on the weekend and denied in less than a full business day. As uploading has been locked since the takedown, we have been unable to remediate.

I can provide more information if you wish, but the denial indicated that contacting Blizzard further would be ignored as the issue was considered closed.
