MAP DESIGN: Aesthetics

Which were your favourite maps?
I’m not talking about base layout, balance or gameplay here. I’m strictly speaking about graphics, how beautiful the map looks. :kissing_heart:

• Bloodboil was an amazing map. It’s the only map to have had snow on your building when playing on it, and the colour contrast was great.

• I’m a big fan of Acolyte. It felt like a 'halloween" map, with the colors and the weird noises, and the crashed motherships. I loved it.

• Eastwatch. Felt like an autumn map, and I love the train rails. It was a nice touch.

What about you? :sunglasses:

New-Getysburg, Blueshift.

I’ve only been playing for about a year, but Dreamcatcher for me. Not only aesthetically pleasing but a great map to play on as well.

I’m curious, for those that have been playing longer, do they ever bring maps back?

Mostly the bright ones(Dreamcatcher, the beach one we have now, Redshift, etc)

Most map tend to be this “dark, brown thing” which might be useful for borrow/stealth units overall but it looks just boring… Althought, there are a few cases like year zero where the borders together with Amon is more than enough to give it a “good enough” mark.
