Make sc2 available for console

I want Blizzard to make StarCraft and StarCraft 2 available for console. I used to play it all the time when I had a computer, but now I have a PlayStation 4 and I really want to play again.

sc1 is on the 64 and it would suck on consol just like it did on the 64

there are many mobile games were you have sc2 on console controls, and all suck because you cant micro and are basically doing nothing

There are at least 3 problems with that:

  1. SC2 needs lots of hotkeys. Without them, all the mechanics can not be used. Some RTS games in my opinion can be ported to console. Command and Conquer would probably be okay there.
  2. Without the mouse, you can not micro properly, without that, the game will have to be changed completely in terms of balance. Because marines will always die to banelings.
  3. Consoles have not the greatest CPU, as well as very low clock speed. Considering that SC2 requires as high cpu clock on 2 cores as possible, to give you good performance, I think it would be not the greatest experience for the console players, when they see 5 fps during the fight.

This will not be done for at least for two reasons: technical and business. The technical reason is that SC2 engine is not designed for consoles and this can’t be fixed without a major engine overhaul. The business reason is that RTS games are as far from typical console gaming as it gets and it doesn’t make any sense to make a console version of SC2, because it will sell poorly. Another reason is that this game requires mouse + keyboard and consoles don’t have that by default.

Just buy a cheap tiny computer the size of a lunchbox I’m sure they can run SC2 easily with low graphic settings.

So is nobody realizing StarCraft can be put on Xbox they are just massively greedy if halo wars 1-2 can be put on console then StarCraft 1-2 can be put on console there is plenty of things could do for microing other games like state of decay do it with console controller it’s something like double click for this or double click for that or have alerts you can quickly move to via down on d pad you minds are just to small to even consider it on console heck if it can be on my phone from a company then why not officially via Microsoft

i mean most consoles have a usb port, you could get a wireless usb mouse and keyboard and maybe it would work, but it’ll never happen. SC2 is on life support and no further development is being done for it by Bliz

i agree that starcraft 2 should be ported to consoles. though they should keep co-op free to play and only require xbox live gold/playstation plus for pvp. though commanders should still cost, even on consoles.

And how it supposed to be played? Split marines with gamepad? Or even cast storm? Or even… Or even control utralisk with gamepad? - The last sentence is a joke. Its actually possible. Ultras OP.
