Make bunkers mobile

Finally, a good use for bunkers, the cheap wall that would require your own supply to man and a dedicated worker to build.

Yuri’s revenge had the mobile fortress all the way back in 2001.

Zerg gets the mobile defense too, but they already have it.

You can salvage a bunker if you need it out of the way, rebuild it later or somewhere else. If you just need a door, use supply depots.

Salvage and rebuild the bunker somewhere else lol.

I think… stukov has movable bunkers.

The regular one were designed to be salvaged so you can rebuild there in other places without losing minerals making empty bunkers.

Yes stukovs can uproot his bunkers and use them as melee combat units. The trooper it produces can also still fire from inside of it.

Not sure about how effective they would be for terrans since they have a movement speed of 1 (2.5 on creep which stukov spreads mapwide).

oh yeah lets make more post about really bad suggestions again not thinking about reprucusions of said changes.

could you imagine the cheeses this would make. just make a bunker fly it into the zerg main and easy win every match. thats just one really bad one i can think of. holy moly, talk about terrible ideas. this one would end up worse than cannon rush’s.

Wait, what if the cannons could move….

:joy: oh yeah, if were gonna make flying bunkers, make flying spores spines and cannons too. bring on the cheese. i want to see that cheddar. whos got the mozzeralla?

my god, of all terrible ideas, lmao

Those technically can move, just not fly!

A most judicious proposition indeed.

Just import the Co-op Stukov version of bunkers into the standard Terran faction. Terrans deserve mobile bunkers, too!

Zerg already have mobile Spine and Spore Crawlers, while Protoss Cannon Rushes are legendary.

Why should Terrans be left behind?

didnt you say in another post that this meant you werent agreeing with the original poster when you said it, and we all called you out on agreeing with the poster…

here you go again using it for a second time now agreeing with someone. double caught in a lie

you are absolutely incredible kkg

They do it to rage bait, told to just report them for trolling and leave it.

They posts nonsense in every thread.

is this sincere or not i don’t know. The rest of the post here makes me think you mean it sincerely. but the first time you used this phrase you clarified it was a joke. so now i have to ask every time.

Terran gets to refund bunkers that have gone past their time and has the best ability to fast-heal damaged bunkers to prepare them for the next time they need be used.

Queen Transfuse similar to bunker repair does only cost minerals (to get spare energy for it), but that Queen energy has multiple jobs and spending it on transfusing a crawler is a ‘real’ cost.

Post-battle 1 in preparation for battle 2, Protoss has the least ability to assist their defenses besides just building new ones, because the Shield Battery spends energy far faster than it banks it – so while the battery can definitely assist in either defense, by nature of being used “to repair” between battle 1 and battle 2, it won’t be at full power come battle 2, which is not how that ends up working for Terran nor Zerg. It’s also extra painful for Protoss because Protoss cannot repair hull damage in any way, so that’s permanent bruising that carries over between every fight.

Crawlers are the most necessary to be mobile because Zerg’s army units are overall the least flexible (contrast how versatile half of Terran’s roster is), and doesn’t have any ‘panic’ mechanics like Protoss’ Warp Gate and Strategic Recall. If Zerg had to buy new static defense for every base, the act of building static defense at bases would cause them to lose far harder than the other two races do because Zerg units are on average less resource efficient to make up for the nature of their production.

Also you sure don’t have an argument for why Protoss is mobile, huh? Notice that, please.

Should protoss be allowed to reposition cannons too?

Nice effort to keep this forum alive bro…

heres another really good question, how comes its ok for you to use got references, but when i used them and said you “you know nothing, “your user name” snow”, you got all mad and flagged it and i got a ban out of that, but yet here its perfectly fine for you to do the same thing. talk about mods playing favoritism.

also, funny, if you look the quote up, it really does mean your agreeing with a person. so, that whole speal about you not agreeing with the blink needing to be researched in the other thread wasnt sarcasm as you said, and you were agreeing with the person and when you got cought not knowing that blink was already that way you straight up lied to everyone trying to say it meant the opposite of what it means.

As a matter of equities, I think that in order for the repeated propositions for significant Warp Gate nerfs to be acceptable, Protoss needs a real door of some kind in order for it to not completely ruin players who need the QoL of the all-army hotkey.

But on cannons? No. You can’t have “Photon Cannons can be moved” unless it requires late tech (twilight at earliest), which hurts a meaningful part of why you want to have a door structure (when you take your natural or third, which will always be before you have multiple techs). If any Protoss structure is allowed to reposition itself, I think it should be the Gateway or Shield Battery.

I don’t think that it’s too much for me to further say that rather than “reposition”, being able to become pass-through and then re-solidify is more than enough for what Protoss actually needs, and that that is kinda a lot of power to just add on any of their structures – you can wall with gateways and then build and then be open and then re-wall without… losing that a gateway is kinda tough? that’s kinda gross – so if you’re going to give that ability to any Protoss structure I think it’d be better off making a new structure for which this is one of its only purposes, so that you can appropriately stat it to be extremely pathetic (50/50 vitals?)

Man, all I know is that Terran feels weak against both Protoss and Zerg. Why is it so hard to understand that I’m not trolling? I just want to see Terran get some buffs.

I’d be happy if they simply increased the movement speed of some Terran units or the flight speed of Command Centers and other flying buildings.

But Mobile bunkers - like Stukov have in Co-Op could be a nice addition to Terrans - maybe little bit too much - but could be nice.

Protoss, yes. Zerg, no.

I don’t really think Terran needs buffs beyond specific units (widow mines need to have their splash radius reverted, and need to alert you on targeting rather than on burrow), and I’m a Terran myself; hovering around D2/1 currently.

I personally think Protoss needs some nerfs to specific things. Economy, obviously, and energy recharge.

They’re just far to overtuned in both matchups.

Zerg has lost a lot of their power to punish early game greed over the last few years, which means you can get away with a lot as both Protoss and Terran (though the former more than the latter IMO).

All-Army hotkey is a crutch tbh for a variety of reasons. It’s got moments where it’s really useful, and moments where it’s frankly terrible.

As far as a “real door” I like the idea that someone mentioned in the past of pylons “phasing” out to allow units through, and then phasing back in (Though I feel like they should lose the ability to power structures when phased out IMO).

yes, learn to control group certain units/unit clusters, and stutter step timings of the units, and to target fire and prioritize threats. actual control of combat units is far better than all army a moving. you get way more damage than letting them just stack up and the back rows all derping around doing nothing.

i like that.
