Brotoss has been balance whining about PvT for the past 6 months or more; judging by the recent slew of threads pointing out the glaring weakness of the Protoss race, I’m glad everyone has finally caught up with the program and realized how weak Protoss has become (two years of straight nerfs tend to have that sort of effect). I want to thank Playa, Goba, Batz, and all those who have supported the buff Protoss/nerf Terran movement. I will continue to post replays of P getting 2-0’d/3-0’d in pro play to spread the message.
No one is “catching up with your agenda”.
Protoss is struggling because of zerg.
You sure about that champ?
Leading race | Zerg (17%) |

Lagging race Protoss (22%)!!! 22%!!!
Come on Bananalance Team! Come on! Do something!
Everyone knows PvZ is the worst match-up, hence why it is irrelevant to discuss it; the lesser known issue is that of PvT, where T is now stomping P as hard as Z is.
Positive. In general, both terran and protoss are being kicked around by zerg, although terran less so this year. When you have 7 premier tournaments won by zerg in a row, who do you think zerg is beating to get there?
Did you miss the 42% PvT win rate I just posted? It’s ok, I expect a slew of rust league Terran to enter this thread and point the finger at Zerg in an attempt to avoid nerfs.
At the very top level, TY, Maru, and Inno are going to beat protoss a good margin of the time. Not many pro terrans are able to win TvP consistantly.
However, many pro zergs roll over many top toss players.
Terran doesnt need nerfed in any way shape or form. Either zerg needs nerfed against toss, or toss needs a buff specifically for the zerg MU.
I don’t care how you slice it; buff P, nerf T, nerf Z, or some combination of the three; the point is that balance changes of some kind need to be made in PROTOSS FAVOR.
Based on the current stats of all 3 races, nerfing Z would be the most logical option you gave.
Perhaps you should go watch my “Last 5 PvT on WardiTV” thread and review the number of 2-0/3-0 PvT games I’ve posted from recent play.
If you want to play win rates then this is the first time in 3 years that it has been in Terran’s favour by more than 2% and this period is yet to complete. Look for yourself http://aligulac.com/misc/balance/
Its been how many years ? I caught up with this trend long ago and quit the multiplayer. It is by design and intend, those who did these changes are fully aware of what they did and nevertheless proceeded with the plan.
Overpolishing already superior in raw power terran units and handling avilo style nerfs to protoss units. I couldn’t even switch terran, beating on handicapped toss feels stupid.
I been coming back and playing co-op and direct strike from time to time.
In my opinion the PvP is completely butchered, the only way to actually do something to revive it and make it interesting again, both for players and for audience is to try incorporate the co-op into PvP (there are smart ways to do it). It has great potential for success but that is just personal opinion.
That’s a unfinished period
The last finished one on Apr 8 had PvT at 49%
Forgot to add, you are arguing against something they have done not by miscalculation or lack of understanding but on purpose, so you are wasting your time with these whine topics.
No, my goal is really just to inform all the rust-league Terran how OP their race, I don’t expect the balance team to ever show any kind of kindness towards the Protoss race. The Observer nerf spoke volumes, and the Charge nerf was the final straw that broke the back of our race; Chargelots were probably one of the last decent units we had which were barely holding together this ramshackle trash magic-trick race.
I support buffing Protoss, not nerfing Zerg and Terran.
Protoss being in a weak state is because of the nerfs it has got.
Honestly, it might be time to say goodbye to fast warpins on the prism so gateway units can get get some good buff
It would help with PvP being so coinflippy too
Make forcefields permanent. 100 HP and 3 armor.
Delete the free-unit mechanics from terran. Mules should cost minerals and the same for medivac healing. Right now hoards of free marines just run over protoss regardless of the fact that the protoss is ahead in bases and income. How can terran macro a larger army from less income? Free units is how.
Make the mule a permanent unit that costs 150 minerals to replace should it die.
Make every 10 health healed by a medivac cost 1 mineral.
Medivacs will be very useful in small numbers but in large numbers they will be expensive to sustain. Thus terran is incentivized to transition and make his own tier 3/4 units rather than massing hoards of free tier 1 units and steamrolling protoss who have tier 3/4 units.
Professional protoss could lose due balance, low master players not.,their representation on the gm ladder is pretty good.
As I said to you elsewhere, if Zealots had 2000 HP would it affect balance in the lower leagues? Did XYZ million other things affect balance in the lower leagues? This is a weak, tired argument. I agree that balance doesn’t really affect the extremely low leagues, but Master and up? Come on bro. This whole “unless you’re top 10 in the world and 7500 MMR balance doesn’t affect you” trash is complete BS. When we refer to balance it’s more about game design than anything else; +5 HP on a Viking is probably only felt by the pros, but a BC warping into my main at 5 min? That’s game design. SCV pulls wrecking me? That’s game design.
