Lol protoss tries to be agressive

and tries to show off some nice plays, but zerg denies it all way too easily. zest vs reynor with those adepts and wp is the prime example here

game 1 shows how crappy protoss ground is. thats a reason why players like Bisu didnt wanna stick with sc2.

And people wonders why toss has to play gimmicky…

Cant be aggressive with DTs cause the tech is on a different building so then you delay storm if you need it and your opponent can scout it easily, cant be aggressive with adepts because they are useless, cant be aggressive with stalkers because they are not strong or tanky enough, cant pull off sick plays because toss units are too expensive and recall on a unit is not until the mothership

It’s so stupid to me that DTs are on a different building than regular Templar and that building takes freaking forever.

Zest won the match where he went DTs but only because Reynor didnt send is OL up a little further. Thats a definition of gimmick: dont know its coming? its strong. Know its coming? Its weak or even useless.

That’s kind of the nature of DTs…

4 protoss go on so prepare for new whine

Zest wins the bo3
Protoss Whiners: He lost a single map, Zerg so op. Protoss should be able to win every bo# with no maps dropped for any reason ever, even if they make a massive glaring mistake like letting 30 lings into their base. In fact, every time a probe dies Protoss should get 500/500 for free as well as 20 supply free zealots for every ling every made that game instantly. I can’t believe Protoss should ever have to do anything, it’s just unfair; when I type GLHF I should just get a button that gives me 50 MMR for free.

It’s actually pretty unfair that protoss has to deal with those subtle mistakes while other races don’t, terrans cannot lose on a random runby like protoss do because they can lift their supplies depots or have PFs.

Zergs also don’t have to deal with this kind of gimmicks, protoss is all or nothing. You either play perfectly the whole game and win by just a bit, or make a few mistakes and are so far behind, that’s why protoss is frustrating and so unrewarding.

Yeah there has never been a TvX ever where 2 adepts, a handful of lings/roaches, or reapers have slipped in and done game deciding damage. It’s literally never happened.

Similarly there’s never once been an occasion in ZvX where DT/Archon drops, Widow Mines, or hidden lings morphed into banes have done game deciding damage due to a small easily made mistake. These have also never happened. Never once.

Only Protoss and Protoss alone has to be vigilant.

I don’t think I have ever gotten 2 or 3 adepts into a terran mineral line and wiped out the entire line. In fact, I don’t think I have ever gotten 2 or 3 of anything just running free into a terran base. It just isn’t a thing that happens becauses protoss gateway units are slow!

The number of games I have lost to zerg in the first 3 mins because lings got in my base and wiped out a ton of probes is too many to count. Literally if the first adept is out of position, its gg.

Specially when DTs are never useful.

I mean it literally happened during this IEM that 2 adepts got into a mineral line and did a bunch of damage to Terran. If you’re too bad to remember to keep an adept in your wall while you’re doing a 2 base all-in against a 3 base zerg that’s on you, not the balance team.

Similarly Zerg has to remember to always get ravagers out or you die to literally any amount of sentries.

zest would of lost if Reynor sent his OL up just a little bit more. But I guess you didnt wanna read what I said earlier. Zest won that match by luck of the gimmick. if you think he won other than the gimmick then idk what to tell you. Reynor should have 2-0 zest. I mean, going DTs is luck of the draw and he was lucky Reynor didnt scout it.

Zerg counters protoss at every point in the game. It’s not by much honestly (not considering end game), but it’s unfortunate going into the matchup knowing your opponent is always one step ahead of you: they can scout for basically free, they will always have a worker lead (if nothing goes really wrong), they can produce army such that by the time it arrives at your base, you will have equal army supply to whatever is at your doorstep, and the zerg can decide to send reinforcements/delay their economy, or drone up behind the aggression while the protoss has to be very careful treading the lines between greed and death.

I play a full macro playstyle and even when I take a 4th at 6-7 minutes, 8 at the latest, I’m always at least a few workers behind the zerg. Same for army supply. I rarely come out ahead, and I only win because my tech’s consistent/timely to the max.

Yeah it’s almost like making a tiny mistake hurts every race equally huh?

-the only 2 protosses make it out of a group with 4 zergs
-“zerg op”
