Loading medivacs question

If I select my Marines and medivac’s. Start right clicking on each medivac for loading. All medivacs move towards the first medivac that I right clicked on. Causing them to stack. Making it harder to load the other’s. How do I prevent this?

Thanks.

Select only the ground units and right click or rright/shift click to load the units, althout I would say that this sounds like poor micro, every terran just right clicks the units into the medivacs with no special care, just group the units, and click on the medis, it only takes two or three seconds.

Now the real and unwanted protip that maybe other will find useful, when you have a lot of medivacs and just load some of them, you don’t need to select them separately before sending them to drop, you just press the drop key on a far point and only the filled medivacs will move, do this and empty medivacs/bio following your drop won’t never be a problem.

From understanding, there is no workaround for this. That is because the A.I. doesn’t predetermine how many marines are required to fill that 1x medivac and then remove the move command for all other marines / medivacs currently selected.

I believe this would be the closest you can achieve. Which is why when you watch replays, you notice that while picking up to retreat, some medivacs move forward a little instead. They are basically accommodating for the other medivacs.

On a side note, I can’t recall whether the medivacs will move towards the marines they are already full.

Possible answer:
Deselect the medivacs with…damn muscle memory…I think it’s Ctrl+Shift+clic on a medivac icon, then Shift+right click on medivacs while having the marines selected.
