I play both in NA and EU. Today doing my placement match in EU something unusual happened. Last season I was Gold 1, today doing my placement match I was put in Silver 3 League. I kept playing, and the system start putting me against high MMR players, such as Platinum 1 and Diamond 2.
I managed to win against some opponents, but my League didn’t change, while the MMR bar was saying I was in Plat 3. After playing a bit more, the opponents started to get stronger. While losing, I’ve noticed my bar now says I’m at Gold 1, but the icon still remains Silver.
Leaving the league, and doing matches again, the border keeps Silver. It’s important to notice my opponents MMR, also the amount of MMR I’m winning and losing didn’t display the reality, since visiting my opponent’s profile, I see a different MMR.
I’m afraid of playing in NA and mess up my MMR, and would love knowing what’s happening. This issue happened once, a couple of years ago when I start playing the game.
