I've quit playing macro PvT

A while back I realized that I could never play beyond 2-3 bases vs Zerg, so I just started two-base all-in’ing every PvZ. I’ve always tried play macro in PvT because the match-up generally leads to a middle and lategame (both players fast expand, both players take relatively quick thirds, and we have a game), where both players get to explore their tech tree and so forth (it actually feels like a real game, not just who can cheese better).

With each successive patch since I started a year or two ago, Protoss has been continually nerfed and Terran continually buffed, to the point where I’ve now realized that I can no longer play macro PvT; I now simply proxy-Robo every game. With proxy-Robo, I exploit the trash micro of my Terran opponents and shred them up with my Prism/Immortal, sometimes winning on the spot, other times allowing me to take an expo behind it with advantage. It is just too difficult to deal with the constant multi-prong; my units are weaker/fewer in number, I don’t have enough vision, and I’m trying to defend against an extremely mobile/more powerful/more numerous enemy army. If it’s not Bio all over map, it’s turtle mech which results in 200/200 Thor Tank Hellion a-moving across the map.

With this realization I think I’ve lost most of my interest in this game:

PvZ: Two base all-in every game.
PvT: Proxy-Robo every game.
PvP: 3 Gate Robo every game.

Congrats Blizzard, I quit.

Once you’ll hit diamond or master and leave your gold league you will realize PvT is the easiest thing in the world

I feel the exact opposite way… tried to macro in PvT but its unplayable… P already has the eco advantage and to set back and let them build… its either win the game in 10 mins or less or get toss stomped

Just let him quit. If he quits for real, then maybe we don’t have to listen to him whine about Protoss versus Terran all the time.

He’s up there with Ace on spamming the forum with their complaints. Jeez.

I make objective posts with rational arguments, that’s why all of my threads go to 200+ replies. I don’t make general statements like “I CAN’T WIN FIX YOUR GAME”, I make strong, logical arguments.

logical arguments like admitting that PvT is P favored… Or complaining that you cant beat zerg and blaming T… seems to be the norm around here

No clue what you’re talking about.

Why would I want to be coached by a Diamond-for-life scrub like you? I posted my real account in that other thread recently.

Just how low do SC2’s numbers have to tank before you admit there is a problem? People don’t find the game to be fun when the game’s been designed to be Avilo’s wet dream.

Mech play is absolutely disgusting, and it boggles my mind that it is promoted by Blizzard in any way. Mech (a.k.a., TURTLING) is basically no-rush 45, at which point the Terran just 1-A’s across map. Why is Blizzard promoting a play-style that discourages unit interactions? How is it fun to play (or watch) a game where both players just sit on their sides of the map because it is suicide to attack either way?

POOtre is one of our resident Terran clowns, please forgive his transgressions.

He just want to win.

I think so, as protoss. Why Xel’naga tossed us? Pro-tossed. Because tossed us make this game better. Not abandon, it’s tossed.
Because Aurox can’t draw a ball in 1998. But he know the feeling, he know. Creat the first, and toss them here as surveyor. And then creat other races. Blizzard just need some math practitioner to help them in starcraft 3.

Aurox can’t draw a ball in Euclid geometry but he can draw a circle in Euclid geometry. He can change us and watch the perfection of the circle.
if the circle is not perfection. He will change it.
Emon thinks he is the best. ‘Best’ is not good.

So everything lost from his control.

‘Protoss never gets old’
If they get older, all will get older. If they get younger, all will get younger.
‘They are wearing golden clothes like angels.’
All things are from them. So they always can get the same feelings with other races. So they are angels.
‘They are the first, not best.’
Balance is important.

I’m protoss, I can understand the allegory of Xel’naga.
Ah…Just remember to draw a ball with today’s technology next time, Aurox.

Every player is going to hit a wall at some point. At some point a person can not or just chooses to not get any better.

Your hands can only move so fast. Your mind can only keep track of so many things at once. At some point you will be playing with people just as good and a lot better as you climb the ladder.

It’s a competitive game and at some point you have to take the L and respect the person you lost to is better or played better than you.

If you think you can’t improve any more than you hit the wall and you need to just learn to enjoy the games you are playing and let go of the ladder anxiety.

I don’t get why people make post like Blizzard is ever going to make an emergency patch. You are going to have to wait just like everyone who wants balance changes so they can get wins with less effort.

You probably gotten to the point you are looking past the games you are actually in because your just grinding. You have forgotten each game is special and you are in a competition with an opponent.

You look at the race but forget that there is a person in the driver’s seat different than the next guy you play and you need to respect him/her. They beat you because they respect you.

There a lot of good players that will never make it into the elite tier of professional play. It’s just the facts of Life. If you are doing more complaining than training you don’t deserve to get any better.

Avilo finds it fun, I guess? And let’s be real. Something you don’t find fun isn’t what other people don’t find fun.

“Turtling is bad for the game! We should ban mech!”

So people who like turtling or like playing mech shouldn’t be allowed to play their preferred styles because…you don’t like playing against them?

“Cheese is toxic!”

So people shouldn’t be allowed to cheese because…you don’t like getting cheesed?

“People should not be allowed to choose Random!”

Why? Because you say so?

“Remove tactical jump/mass recall! It’s bad game design!”

Why? Because you hate it when your opponent uses it? So it doesn’t matter if your opponent enjoys making use of these abilities - all that matters is that you hate it and therefore it’s “bad game design” and should be removed? Because you decide it?

“The game is Terran/Protoss/Zerg favored!”

Everyone who complains about this, no matter what race, is biased. You can bring out the stats, numbers, whatever, but all I see are people like you twisting the numbers to suit your agenda. And I don’t care what race you play.

You’re not the only one playing the game here. You obviously can’t expect a 100% win-rate. You can’t force your opponent to play the way you want him to play. Games are played between two people or more. It’s kind of ridiculous that people think they have the right to dictate how others should or should not play the game.
