It's time to lock out players that instant quit

Does anyone else have the opinion that ‘instant quitters’ that manipulating their MMR to have easy wins should be locked out of searching for games for a period of time? To me this is akin to match fixing. People will exploit whatever they can, whenever they can, it’s ruining a game that is already on the decline. I can’t be the first person that has mentioned this, though i could be the 13th million to bring it up, Blizzard will just sit on their hands and do nothing as per usual.

Why don’t you go play a different game like patty cake? You’re going to push for some consequence for people doing things you don’t like that isn’t actually cheating and you’re going to end up screwing people that doing anything wrong. I’ve had periods where my game consistently crashes. Sometimes people have internet issues.
Sorry you lose to people that are better than you, but if you’re playing on the ladder you’re going to end up playing against people that are better than you at some point. If your precious ladder points and mmr mean so much that you’re afraid of losing them, play unranked or customs.
I’m in no way excusing or condoning the actions of people that purposefully drop their mmr or smurf, but you really need a reality check.

I would bet my hard earned dollars this is a practice that you often do. Maybe you’re not aware that you can look at someones match history simply by clicking on their profile. When someone has 5 losses in a row with 0 apm and 50 minerals in the bank, that is red flag that this person didn’t do anything during the match but press F10 and N. When these "losses’ come 1 minute apart from each other, its not a connection problem. Why you would get so defensive is also another red flag. You and people like you that think its enjoyable to manipulate their mmr for a enjoyable steamroll of a lesser opponent need to re-evaluate. I find it laughable that ‘you’re not excusing or condoning’ those that do it but get on my back for pointing it out. It’s you that needs the reality check brother

WOW, such a deep and meaningful quote that you didn’t come up with. This is supposed to disprove my original issue how?

Because it shows that you’re a fool. You would bet on that, your hard earned dollars, and you would lose them. Every single cent, and here you are complaining, about a game, played with strangers on the internet. Do you even ladder? I can’t see your profile.

*The reason I put it in quotes is because its wisdom from the pages of a kids cartoon. I obviously didnt come up with it.

Again, you’re dodging the original issue with childish insults. Instant quitting to keep an mmr down does happen, it can be proven that it happens regularly. You don’t condone or excuse soooooo, your idea is to do nothing? Just let the manipulation happen so that we have uneven games? Way to be pro-active!

No. Nothing I said dodged the issue at all. I didn’t deny that it happens, either. I said that locking people out isn’t the right way to go because while you may punish the people that are abusing the ability to join and quit, it will end up negatively affecting people that don’t do that as well. Typical American. Do you have laws against murder yet, American? lol. Did it stop people from murdering?

The people smurfing obviously don’t care about being stuck in metal leagues. Try and get out of it yourself instead of complaining about the company. I’m willing to bet that smurfing decreases the higher up the ladder you climb, and even if I’m wrong, as another poster said, it’s good practice.

I’m American?? That sure is news to me! That pathetic ‘Murdering’ argument doesn’t work at all because, get this, people get ‘locked out’ of society for a period if they do commit murder, there is consequences to doing the wrong thing. You just shot yourself in the foot with that genius retort!
If locking out isn’t the right fix, then maybe, just maybe, change your maxipad, stop with the pre-pubescent tantrums and come up with a solution yourself. Seems that your only solution is to do nothing at all.

i suppose other nations do have the same mentality and americans are just learning from it, to their detriment. Either way, you obviously prefer the mud slinging aspect of this conversation, since you have addressed any of the counter points i’ve introduced, and you callously dismiss people who do have connection issues. This happens in coop, and yet you dismiss any sort of inherent game issues as people obviously smurfing. Like I said already, git gud at the game. Complain about smurfing when you get out of bronze 1, homie.

That is from Proverbs 21:20
There is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spendeth it up.

Yes. Assuming that people read the bible in 2020 would be a leap of faith. Calvin and Hobbes is probably more commonly known than proverbs.

It’s a F2P game, they’re here to stay.

You have nothing constructive to add whatsoever outside of trolling, of boredom??
You’re counterpoints haven’t been raised with any level of intellect or reason so i will now just ignore you. Ciao Bella

see you on the ladder, if i ever decided to smurf down to silver

or if i end up getting banned, i could always, you know. make another account?
Game is free to play, desu

I play unranked and I quit every time I have to play tvt or pvp,so unless I’m playing random,I leave 33%of my games. Blizz should really put a matchup veto option for unranked,I feel I give away free undeserved points to random people.

Not at all. The Bible is still the world’s most popular book.
