Ok, so literally every protoss in the world is sub round of 8 material (except maybe stats) and Maru, TY, Innovation, Special, Cure, and Future are all top notch terrans who should never be eliminated. Would it kill the community to consider the absurd possibility that there might be some protoss pros who are also good?
Never said Trap was bad. itâs jsut weird seeing a thread saying protoss has it hard, while Trap is in GSL RO8.
I know Trap being top tier is weird, but heâs made it the bracket stage three straight seasons now and if he beats KeeN that would make it three straight semi finals. Heâs a solid all around player that can play whatever style of Protoss the situation calls for. It looks like heâs here to stay.
You must be a hypocrite if you dont think hero was outplayed
He played pretty bad tbh
âI am not saying Trap is bad, but Trap is bad.â
Oh right, forgot that we are pretending trap is gosu now and herO isnât severely outclassed by ro16 players.
I get the impression that Protoss has to think about how they engage now. Engage in a clump and EMP will blackout everything Protoss has. Protoss can spread out their Templar and use Prisms to safeguard them, or change how they use Templar and what AoE they want to go with. Protoss does have three options for AoE against Terran after all.
That said, it wouldnât surprise me if the Enhanced Shockwaves upgrade gets reduced a little, say from 1.50 > 2.00 to 1.50 > 1.75 or something like that.
Another possibility that suddenly came to mind is that Feedback could get a slight range buff or EMP can get a slight range nerf. I donât really know, I just really like Ghosts against TvP more than I did before.
He advanced in Code S after protoss was obliterated in the latest balance patch.
Trap throughly outplayed TY and won, herO got throughly outplayed by both TY and Cure and he lost. Literally exactly what was supposed to happen happened. Anyone complaining about these series in either direction is an idiot.
Before EMP upgrade the Ghost was a unit that Protoss players used to laugh when they saw it. Now, it is actually a force to be reckoned with just like the High Templar.
Finally Terran have a good spellcaster in AGES like Protoss and Zerg and people are not yet used to. Just get better and youâll be fine.
Looks like thatâs a yes.
Hero was not outplayed in game 1 against keen on winterâs gate.
All of his engagements were perfect except for move commanding a ball of stalkers into stim bio, losing a few stalkers in the process.
Hero had everything from a superior economy, to defenders advantage, to better micro, and a superior army.
All it took was keen spamming EMP for him to trade absurdly efficiently and eventually just run him over.
It didnt matter what Hero had, whether it was HT in prism, disruptor, colossi
HT were rendered useless. Colossi were easy to kill once EMP hit, and everyone knows disruptors are a joke in the face of the highest level of play (too easy to dodge disruptor novas). all that were left were gateway units without shields, and ive never seen anything more pitiful than heroâs shieldless zealot stalker against marine medivac marauder with stim
You can argue that hero made a mistake in g2 on thunderbird where he tried too hard to kill a planetary, but the massive lead he built up all game was wiped out in an instant thanks to the new EMP just because of one questionable engage.
The idea that Protoss never had to think before they engaged is ridiculous. If any race has to think before engaging itâs Protoss imo. They are the race that can have an expensive tech heavy army evaporate without doing much in return.
Hero used all three AOE options against keen, and they all were utterly useless. HTs should be obvious (he even had them in a prism). Colossi are just focused down so fast after EMP. Disruptors are a meme feast or famine unit - and at the highest level like Code S itâs usually famine for them.
Everyone knew that storm was the one equalizer protoss had against terran superiority in almost everything else.
Protoss has nothing against terran now except maybe early to mid game blink stalkers and warp prism harass.
The difference is that Protoss and Zerg are utter garbage without high templars and infestors.
Meanwhile Protoss pros often destroy T or Z players with mass Gateway units on early and mid game. Gateway units being weak is a MYTH.
Dude, you are so clueless about SC2 that Iâm putting you on Rbt level of troll and will not give any more thought on your threads. Just flag as trolling and move on.
Isnât this Keenâs first RO8? Or is it fine when a mediocre Terran makes it?
I wasnât making an argument that players who are there donât deserve to be there, but was simply calling out the irrational belief that protoss is struggling.
A lot of missing the main points today. Again, I wasnât the one saying the players didnât deserve to be there, but I did have to point out the irrational belief that protoss is struggling. Thatâs laughable.
Come on guys⌠Trap is a good player.
What was really weird was Hurricane and Parting being better than Maru and Rogue before the patch. Trap is solid.
So Terran isnât struggling either by this logic.
Will decide after GSL finishes.
So Terran isnât struggling now but if they donât win their 7th GSL in 8 seasons they are?
