106, 114, 118? 124, 103, 112? The foothills of intellect all look the same from the peak of IQverest. Far off in the distance I can see the valley of stupidity, where the SC2 forums lie, deep in a chasm and far from any light which is truth that doth shine down upon The Mountains of Intellect.
Oh how I wish I were but a burd, that I might carry the light to the valley of stupidity, and shine it down, deep, into the chasms of woe! Nay! Nay! The filthy creatures of the dark are hungry for naught but the chaff and dross - the filth and the waste - the sewage and the scum! So will my burd become! What a waste, what a waste! All must avoid this place with great haste!
Lmao. We went from begging for mercy with âI donât speak English nativelyâ to machiavellian âI was toying with you all alongâ really fast, didnât we? Pro tip: Your trolling is super obvious and always had been, Anesthetic. When you started deliberately misspelling words & claiming you didnât know English, all to cover up the gargantuan mistake you made about correlations, I realized there is literally nothing you can contribute to this or any conversation. Even your trolling isnât clever and we both know youâre only playing that card because you face planted into the concrete and are trying to save face (if you are caught being stupid, at least take credit for it)!
He has a very obvious trolling style. He never discusses the topic because thatâs risky since he is clueless. I absolutely destroyed his attempt to discuss statistics in this thread for example so he avoids ever giving specifics about any topic. His entire objective is to insult people, usually to insinuate or imply but sometimes to outright state it, and he simply ignores his mistakes and/or any counter points (no matter how strong they are) by deflecting and hoping someone replies to the deflection, thus burying his embarrassing defeats in a thread nobody will ever read. He also likes to pose as a figure of authority and talk down to his opponents. He used to pretend to be a professor of statistics for example. He always debates in bad faith and only debates long enough to find something he can hamstring in a false light because, again, he isnât interested in a discussion heâs only there to attack other posters. Since he never discusses the topic in depth, his attacks are always shallow and baseless which he hopes people believe if he says them enough.
He always has one fatal flaw: he will attack if he perceives a weakness, because then he doesnât feel so insecure about how clueless he is. The key to beating this is to nest a double-mistake. A layman will notice the obvious mistake but only an experienced person will notice the subtler mistake. Back when he posted under an account called ânomufftotuffâ, and when he pretended to be a professor of statistics, I used this maneuver by stuffing a bad equation into a Google sheets spreadsheet. He exploded in a fit of rage about how a ârealâ statistician would never use Google sheets, while he ignored the obvious error in the equations that would stick out like a sore thumb to someone who actually is experienced in Statistics.
I used the same exact maneuver in this thread and it played out exactly as expected (can you spot it? He sure didnât!). Itâs definitely, 100% without doubt, Anesthetic.
I could tell you who thrasher is but that would ruin the fun.
Anesthetic definitely made all kinds of spelling errors. It almost threw me off to be honest. 99% of the time Anesthetic ignores counter points. The fact that he pretended to not know English while actually recognizing a mistake he made (in a small sense) was quite surprising. It almost made me think it wasnât him for a second since the deflection act is such a strong predictor for Anestheticâs posts. But then he did a 180 and abandoned the routine for his usual routine.
I also forgot to mention that Anesthetic also has a very specific set of opinions that stay constant throughout his accounts.
Hereâs an example. A personal attack with an appeal to authority, while avoiding providing anything useful about the topic. He pretends to be arguing a point when all he is doing is attacking the poster. His post boils down to nothing of substance except an implied personal attack (you donât know the proper way to determine smurfs, but I am not going to tell you what the proper way is):
I am telling you by showing you how to recognize patterns in how people post. Compare Cheezecakeâs post (linked above) with Mercurialâs posts in this thread. Theyâre identical.
Right I did read his condescending posts that you referenced. I havenât seen Cheezecake post in a while. That probably is Anesthetic. But it still doesnât help me know who thrasher is.
This is the moment he realized he face planted into the nested double-mistake. Notice the clear shift in narrative and the immediate spelling errors that didnât exist until this point when he needed to start pretending he didnât know English so he could cover for his mistake. As soon as he felt he had covered adequately, he immediately resumes his normal trolling style.
Thrasher has a very different style but I will leave it up to you to figure out what that is. I will give you a hint:
I mean, I clarified it, but you donât know how to read your own language.
I know english very well, but double consonants are not a common thing in my language so it came out natural, the thing is, how good can you speak your second language? If you are that condecending, at least you might have a background to back up your ego.
He never defines his points, only says that you are wrong but never why/where/how, exactly like the Cheezecake example cited above.
A perfect example of a deflection combined with a personal attack: he completely ignores the fact that he face-planted and that his personal story did a 180 when he realized he face planted. Since he has no interest in resolving his mistakes, he deflects with the attack that I am being condescending and egotistical. He is being as vague as possible since he is insecure about how clueless he is and knows his story will unravel quickly if he attempted to discuss anything of substance.
This is definitely, without any doubt whatsoever, Anesthetic.
I can even clarify it further, no big deal at all :3 there is a grad course in my campus called âbachelor of earthâs math and scienceâ translating it rougly, I took 4 semesters on that then I switched to pure math and I had to do meteorology, geology and astronomy, calculus 2 and physics and some other stuff to then change to pure math, I had to take calculus again because itâs a different level of calculus but itâs worth it, found my course.
Like many people he was rubbed the wrong way by being endlessly obliterated anytime he attempted a real debate, so he gave up attempting real debates. It infuriates people that no matter which side of the debate I take, I can run circles around them and make them look like clowns. You can see that in this thread. Example:
Heâs wrong by the way. I posted a thread claiming SC2 and IQ are positively correlated like 2 weeks ago. Lmao.
Goba used to champion me as the hero of Battle.net since I defended Protoss so adamantly. Now he never stops calling me a clown because there is absolutely no way he can compete against my criticisms of Protoss. Compare:
The winds are always shifting but one thing remains constant: tEhbAtZ always wins the debate.
