Is sc2 getting a patch?

Ladies and Gentleman,

So news has it NA servers are down maintenance.
When I log into Starcraft II on the NA Servers it says: ERROR
Battle.net is down for maintenance

So what I get from this is that there is a new patch, or it is just a bug patch, or they are finally fixing arcade again so that the Balance Council can make mods and test for a patch after EWC which is the most likely time for an update

Please let me know what you all think,
If it is just maintenance on their servers and they are just taking down some more.
Or it is a balance patch, or very unlikely new maps.
Most likely situation is that it is a bug fix.

Sometimes there’s a patch to go along with server maintenance, other times the changes are strictly on the server end of things.

I think the most likely scenario is that this is related to fixes for the arcade exploit but it’s one step at a time so that doesn’t mean it’s the final fix.

I am very doubtful that they’re making any balance changes or map pool updates just one month from EWC. There are some little fixes that might be involved though.

Probably the most likely thing yeah.

Hopefully this will be the final fix for the Arcade exploit so that the Balance Council will be able to make mods and test balance changes so that it will be a good change after EWC - Very big assumption.

An update after EWC is the most likely thing to happen because there aren’t any major tournaments after EWC that I know of, and there shouldn’t be any balance changes before hand because, if there are balance changes it will take a while for Pros to get the new meta and create and master new meta builds from the balance change and we will get a bad EWC.

theres maintenance almost every week, always has been, doesnt mean were getting a patch. just means there doing the weekly maintenance.

If there is a weekly maintenance, they would do it in 3am in the morning for NA and same for the other servers.

If they are just doing a little maintenance they would do it late at night, not in the middle of the day.

Correct me if I’m wrong

you are wrong, as the maintenance is usually done on pst time zone usually starting 10 am, when people are starting there shift, since you know blizzard is in cali

I’m in eastern time so that’s 1pm for me. which I’m usually playing on that time.

By that, why haven’t I experienced this last week and the week before that? Maybe a monthly maintenance?

im not blizzard employee, if you want to know what the do when they do the weekly maintenance go find an employee and ask, good luck with that tho

just to let you also know they have twitter post about what games are getting maintenance every week as well.

I mean, they did say this a 6 days ago. So at least they are fixing the Arcade.

Which this does lead to a patch because the Balance Council uses the Arcade/Mods to test changes.

It doesn’t appear this maintenance had anything for the front end.
