Almost everything heals in Starcraft 2, Terran bio is healed by medivacs, Terran mech is healed by workers.
Zerg Queens heal Zerg units, and Zerg units gain health from just sitting on creep.
Protoss heal all the time with shields and shield batteries heal them more.
So do you think there is too much healing? Or do you think the amount of healing is fine, not enough?
Healing is completely fine in this game, stuff mostly die when you expect it. If you want to see bs level of healings/shields you should see how league of legends is. Now that’s a complete disaster of a game nowadays because of it.
I can see where you’re coming from. Right now, heavily bruising a bunch of units with storm or any type of AoE damage means nothing if the opponent just runs back to safety instead of being actually punished for his poor positioning.
It’s either you kill the unit, or you basically dealt 0 damage to it.
It’s about fine. Though it’s mostly automatic for Protoss and Zerg, and that’s felt keenly by bio players before medivacs timing. When medivacs kicks in however, it’s the other way around.
Now in ultra lategame, it reverses another time, with shields (± batteries) and zerg healing (both natural & casted) becoming more interesting because of the absence of resource cost (which would limit you as a mech player) ; while isolated bio dies quicker against full upgrades lategame comp (the ghost being an interesting exception to that).
Which is why EMP isn’t the imbalanced spell some protoss players call it to be ; particularly considering the shield healing rate is among the fastest of the whole game.
everything dies so incredibly fast in this game that healing is almost pointless
if it wasnt in the game it’d barely make a difference except for queens and protoss shields (if you wanna call that healing)
