Trying to get the time achievements in the campaign but it seems as if my IGT is running faster. Went ahead and compared a video i made with someone else’s and it did show my timer running faster(his timer hit 1:30 while mine was at 1:48).
What is going on?
The game speed affects the game timer. The fact that ratio of your time over their time is 1.2, it sounds like you had yours set to one notch higher than the player in the video.

The thing is that i did Rat Lab on both fast and faster and as perfect as it was, the igt should not have a 15-16 seconds difference. I’m thinking there might be a bug that cound faster at a higher rate than it should.
So i went ahead and made 2 different runs on both fast and faster, if the timer was accurate then both would have similar times but as you will see they wont.
The ending time still count as bugged on faster…
1(faster). 2020 08 13 12 11 19 - YouTube
2(fast). lab rat 4:58 - YouTube
i watched those videos very carefully and i noted something even funnier:
the hatchery build time is dependend on the speed you set, making it 19s in slowest and 29 in faster. (i checked and this is hardcoded into this mission only for the conversation to finish)
otherwise some other trigger wait for conversations to finish, but these are played back in real time, not game time, so there is a small difference whenever you have to wait for one to finish.
the last point i noticed in your videos is that your pool was ~4s delayed in the first video.
adding all those together sums to the ~20s difference at the end of the mission timer
Yeah, this seem to make sense now, it kind of throw you off if you dont know that those buildings are actually locked behind dialogues.
