Improve Ghost's EMP

So I saw this post on General discussion and while it is pretty broken in normal, it is not that broken in Co-op. Can we have this for Ghost in Co-op?

I think I found a way to balance TvP

And it also makes sense Lore wise. EMP should remove shield but also deactivate robotic units. Repowering them would require pylons or warp prism. This would make ghost the force to be reckon with they are meant to be in TvP. Right now, they just aren’t worth using and too expensive.

Well considering there’s only 1 other ghost… but that ghost has Triple Tap, aimed for Hybrids (anti-Hybrid)… it’d be kind of broken to give it anti-Mech as well, especially their damage type and Triple Tap is also anti-light.

We sort of have this in Mengsk’s Emperor’s Shadows. After a level or two, their EMPs drain shields, energy, and stun mechanical units. But requiring them to be powered by Pylons is a hell no. That would make them just as strong, if not stronger, than Vipers. Nova’s Ghosts drain shields and energy with no stun.

I think we should let EMP abilities stay where they are, they are good enough.
Besides repowering deactivated mechs with power field seems too complicated.

Ok, one more question: Why is it that Raynor doesn’t have Ghost?
This guy is basically the embodiment of Bio Terran. It makes no sense that this guy doesn’t have Ghost.

Because it would be extremely jarring and unfitting for Raynor to have Ghosts. It literally makes perfect sense that he DOESN’T have them. Raynor made use of Spectre tech in his Raiders, and at this point, they are better saved for a unique implementation in a potential Tosh commander instead of shoehorning them into Raynor’s kit postmortem.

I do think Spec Ops Ghosts should have a slightly better EMP. Rather, they should have it baseline and the upgrade should be replaced with Enhanced Shockwaves for a bigger AoE.

That guy is a well-known delusional nut case in the general discussions section. I wouldn’t listen to a word that comes out of that guy’s mouth. Ghosts are completely fine, and if there were any ability to shut down robotic units like that, it would have to be something in the form of Lockdown from SC1.
