This question has probably been asked multiple times everywhere. In the Galaxy Editor, after creating a custom race, how do you implement a different UI for the race. For example, making the command bar look different. There are UI textures stored in Legacy of the Void called “_forged” or something like that. I’ve heard of some people trying to find triggers for putting together a different UI for a custom race, while others talk about writing a file called “Assets.txt”. Creating a custom race seems pretty straightforward, but how does it go about putting together a custom UI?
there are a couple ways you can go about this, Blizzard recently added actions tied to console skins which you can use to add your own console skins.
The process while not straightforward allows you the faster and easier way to add a new console model, texture and colors. It involves using an existing console entry for to get the colors, then swapping the model for a different one.
Using the assets.txt reference will only work for textures already defined, basically replacing the texture in use.
There is another way of replacing the model by importing your own with the same name as an existing console.
I would recommend you join the SC2Mapster Discord where we can guide you further and help you on your way around the editor
