So, reading Liquipida and always thought Immortals were op… but not sure how they are so great when playing against them (i play Terran), their barrier ability is passive and I believe absorbs 200 damage on damage higher than 20+, but how does this work when the duration only lasts for 2 seconds and a cool down of 32 seconds. Would it make more sense for this to be at least 5 seconds with it being passive?
Barriers absorbs all damage up to 100 total, not sure how you got 20+ damage only. Are you confusing this with a coop passive?
They are a very good unit but are not all that great against Marines, especially if not controlled properly.
Was it reverted from 200 to 100?
I thought weaker attacks such as marines and Zerglings didn’t activate their shields.
You’re confusing this with the old passive Harden Shield where all damage >10 were reduced to 10 while the Immortal has shields
as for the numbers tweaking, if you scroll to the bottom of the page, you can see the change history.

Ahh ok. Thank you.
I never knew why an immortals “weakness” was still listed as marine, zealot, Zergling …
But I guess shear numbers = higher dps rather than high damage, slow attacking units.
Also, immortal does bonus to armor so there’s that.
