I'm tired of Starcraft 2 casters

So I’ve been watching some of Harstem content lately and a few times before that. I have an impression that his emotional attitude is in a gold league. He is a great player in game, yet the way he speaks while playing, is for me full of disrespect and exaltation. I were so embarrassed when he said It’s not ok that He got blindcountered after playing the exact same thing against the same guy. How mature do you need to be to understand that people will anticipate you in a strategy game, as It’s the purpose of competition? I think only a little.

I’m also tired of the way in which youtube content went in starcraft 2 in general. Episode is always about everything you can think of in starcraft 2, except playing a proper game. Considering the way ladder is played today, which is mostly crossing fingers maybe it will work kind of stuff, I aprreciate this kind of content even less.

And I’am very glad to be in Poland and to watch IndyStarCraft. Because he shows how to work on your game while having his own style of casting, It’s just as plain as I want it to be.

I would glaldy listen what do you think about it.
Cheers!

As someone who follows chess, I think you are being unfair to the pro players.

In chess there are a lot pro players who constantly act like children, because their childhoods were spent playing chess and getting better at chess rather than learning how to communicate with people and basic life skills or even how to handle losing. I don’t think Starcraft has it nearly as bad as Chess since in Starcraft most tournaments are age restricted and players don’t become pro at 12 years old.

Regardless, pro players can’t be expected to be well rounded people and be the best at Starcraft as well, and as far as I know, we don’t have stories about Starcraft pros losing games and then challenging their opponents to fist fights outside of the club.

Being a professional starcraft 2 player is one thing. If you are very good at the game, you already are doing your job.
But when you run a channel, you are a social person, you need to communicate, because you’re being watched and listened.
However. I’m just tired of that kind of behaviour which results in watching it rarely if ever.
I do demand social competence from a social media producer, but not everyone does and it’s your/theirs freedom.

I dont think ive ever Seen a Clip of harstem actually being upset apart from the one time in 2019 where He actually for once Said Out loud what everyone knew at that time: that zerg was Freaking overpowered at any Stage of the Game. But thats about it. It has Changed and generally Hes pretty chill and understanding when it comes to Balance.

People actually accused harstem of being Not serious enough actually. Whenever you hear him insult Someone its meant in a humorous way. Not everyone Likes that Style but its pretty Well known that Hes Not actually flaming Someone for real. And He uses A LOT of self Burns as Well. If He plays He mentions at least once that Hes a moron for Messing Up this or forgetting that and Sometimes laughs about how stupid some of His mistakes are.

So i would really Like to get the Clip of what upset you.
In His Series “iodis: is it imba or do i suck” He purposely insults the people that sent in the replays because its the whole theme of that Series and He kinda does the “angry teacher” from Winter. He wants to Showcase how dumb it is to say XYZ is imbalanced if you did Like 1000 mistakes and while He does it He actually gives you a “free” replay Analysis. Because thats what it is basically.
