I’d go myself with Serral. And name a Brood after him. Dude made history and the name sounds Zergy enough in my books.

I’d answer this if I actually kept up with the sc pro scene. I think there was a pro at one point named “Idra?” But I’m not sure about this at all.
EDIT: Yup, there was player named Idra.
EDIT 2: Actually, I just remembered BoxeR as well.
If anything, I’m just surprised that Bliz never tried to shoehorn in a Korean-like character or faction into SC2 to try to appease to the fact that a bunch of South Koreans fell in love with original SC/BW.
That’s basically what they did with WoW where they made Mists of Pandaria one giant pander towards China. Funny thing is, I vaguely remember hearing rumors back then that Chinese players didn’t like this pandering one bit.
Artosis and Tastless have some critters named after them in the editor.
In terms of pro players, you almost have to go with Flash right? I’d name a Terran weapons project after him.

I agree with you about Serral, OP. His name does sound a little bit Zergy, but also like the “Serval” wildcat.
This is only tangentially related to the topic at hand but that’s really nothing new for this forum.
Abnyone else remember the WCS (NA I believe) finals where they got the voice actors for Raynor and Mengsk to come in and do the player introductions in character? They should do that again. Preferably with de Lancie just snarking at both players in his Alarak voice.

Serral did get added (though not really in lore) in the Simulant Console. If you go to 1000 APM on the counter (usually by spamming hotkeys) it changes to a text/number reading “Serral.”
ByuN also sort of got added this last skinset with JJ Hyun (Hyun is his real name) being responsible for the Tyrador hellion. ByuN was known for his hellion openers, which is why I think it’s him over the old BW pro Hyun. They also put the old WoL pro FruitDealer in WoW.
Not pros themselves, but they did add in Axiom Ordinance, the business that tried to mass produce the Warhound from Command Performance and Blackstone, as a tribute to TotalBiscuit’s Team Axiom. The recent Tyrador symbol is also a bit of a nod to TeamLiquid.

Well, I’ve gotten that “5-ERR-4L”(that’s what it actually is) message on the Simulant APM counter several times before, even made a thread about it:
It felt a bit conceited to bring up, plus this thread was about pro players and not people who yell about lore every day haha. 
Though I am hella honored.
Yeah a few people brought it up, given the skin pack coming out right after Serral’s big victory I most certainly think it’s a reference (couldn’t remember the exact number/letter combo)
