If Starcraft 2 had broodwar-era skins, I would actually play the game

I don’t know about the rest of you, but SC2 felt too goofy for my taste and i could never truly get into the gameplay because it was too pretty. It needed to be darker for the setting it was in. I didn’t enjoy warcraft-style looks to my dark space drama.
Blizzcon brought with it an announcement of new skins for the ultra, carrier, and bc from the BW era and I LOVE them! If the game actually looked entirely like the BW era ultralisk feels, I would 100% come back to SC2. But between the goofy graphics and the too-late-to-be-meaningful changes to how multiplayer UMS games were dictated, I simply reverted to BW and continue to stay there for the foreseeable future.

and im tired of seeing this SC1 nostalgia. There’s SCV skin from SC1 and it shows me how crappy it looks. They made it like SC1 if not even worse. The hydralisk from SC1 looks better than SC2. The drone and probe also dont impress with anything but you’ve got zealot and marine. And Battlecruiser, Carrier from new warchest, those two units look good but they require Blizzcon ticket.

I prefer they put the sound effects of SC1 instead of the skins

Yeah, the siege tank transformation sound was sick. I’m fairly certain the SC2 version is just silent. If it has a sound, I cannot remember it; and I use Tanks frequently in every match-up.

The hydralisk scream was my favorite, also the sound of marines and zerg units in general dying

I hope you’re taking into account that the SC1 nostalgia isn’t just that. It’s actually a feeling you get from the game itself that SC2 failed to replicate. I said it in my OG post. A single skin or two isn’t what is needed. It’s the entire kit of dark and gritty.
