I am specifically talking about the medics in WOL campaign. Lets say they were added for 75/50 minerals. They required a tech lab to produce. They seem like a pretty basic infantry that would be very useful to a terran army, but would they be broken if added to multiplayer?
They’re completely unecessary with medivacs being a thing.
Just so you don’t end up making 5000 other threads asking about every single campaign unit.
Probably all of them can be in the game if you
- tune their abilities properly
- tune their cost properly

Dark Archons as they were in the LoV campaign will probably never make it into the game. Other than that, I generally agree.

yes, because right now terran is not able to play pure bio without medivacs, giving medics will end up in terran building nothing except barracks, what would make any push much faster than before
It would create a few annoying early timings and be a nerf for terran in every other situation (assuming the logical deletion of medivacs here).
Medics would eat into bio production queues, and being on the ground makes them vulnerable to whatever is killing the marines. Also removes their stupid permanent army recall.
Medics should’ve always been the way to go (it even makes sense), medivacs are cancer units.
Medivacs > Medics.

Frankly, I don’t think allowing aggression before three bases is exactly terrible game design. There was a time in the foggy past where expanding beyond your natural before you had established map control was considered to be the peak of greed, and even expanding to your natural before you had at least a small army presence was considered daring.
not allowing, but hardly buffing, because with help of medics terran will have no need to build factory and starport, instead of that they will get stim and +1 much earlier and push from pure barracks.
And then they’ll get crushed by the higher tech units of the other races as the game goes on. Pure unsupported bio is a long solved issue.
Marine/Marauder/Medivac is not a good composition vs a competent player, Marine/Marauder/Medic wouldn’t be either. It’d actually be worse.
Terrans would find some nasty all-ins to make initially, then they’d get figured out and Terran would just cease to exist on ladder, medics would be terrible for longevity.

That’s not at all what you were talking about.
This is, in fact, almost the opposite of what you were talking about.
