If Blizzard releases a new Campaign with just 1 unit for each race, I would pre order that thing immediately and this is why:
- New games I pay 60 plus tax, are usually less than 15 hours of gameplay, just most of the time not worth it.
- The amounts of hours I would play in the new campaign and the new ladder, would 100 times be worth it.
- There is no other RTS equal, there is literally no alternative to it. SC 2 is so enriched in depth, mechanics, both in MICRO and MACRO, that makes this game so much fun and changeling to learn and play.
Let me know if you want a new campaign, and how much you would pay for it? Would you get Deluxe ED even?
Also if SC2 loses popularity would ever switch to another rts, or moba, or just play WOW, OverWatch, Diablo etc?, or stay a SC2 die hard fan?

cough cough
Each SC2 campaign is far shorter than 15 hours.

But that is why I would like a new unit for each race! Also I replayed WOL like 7 times now of different levels.
You may be willing to drop $60 on a new campaign but how many others would do the same? I donāt see many that would, mostly on the fact that this game is over 10 years old.
Itāll be more worthwhile to make SC3 as more players would be willing to buy that. And it also comes with a new campaign.

I rather donate $30 to anyone on patreon that can make a new custom campaign.

I would have said yes a year or two ago, but at this point thereās pretty much none of the team left. It would be in the SC2 engine, but I doubt it would be anything like the ones we have.

As much as I agree with you, I donāt think you have an idea of how Activision works.
To them $60 is not worth the effort compared to putting in micro transactions of $4.99 each for 11 co-op heroes. The value is approximately the same, but the amount of effort needed differs greatly.
Letās not forget that Hearthstone, Overwatch and the now dead HotS are all on loot box systems.
Even WoW is not spared with the many P2W mechanics (power levelling, mount, name change) that can all be purchased with $. Vanilla WoW runs on the same subscription as your retail WoW, but Activision hasnāt been clamping down much on bots that disrupt the gameās economies big time. After all, a bot is still a āpaying customerā.
It is $ first, content / players second.

I would pay for a COOP āexpansionā.
$20-25 for 3 Commanders and 3-5 new maps.
Coop is fun, but we need more variety.

I really wish Blizzard had continued with the mission packs. Oh well.

Take this with a grain of salt cause I donāt have any links for it, but if I remember right they wanted to but Covert Ops didnāt sell well enough for them to be able to justify it.

Nathanias said on his stream recently that the Covert Ops mission pack sold well, but Co-op commanders were practically printing money for Blizzard, and talked about their profit margins (I think?). From a business standpoint, it just made more sense to concentrate on Co-op because the profit margins were like double for Co-op commanders compared to the mission packs.
I thought the mission packs were great because they added more story and characters, which could be leveraged for co-op with new commanders and new mechanics.

Ahh, so it was more the less profitable of the two. That makes sense too.
I do agree though, it provided a number of maps and Nova herself for coop. Another one could have done the same easily as well

just stop posting this nonsense.
RTS will never be enough to please the greed of activision blizzard.
what few RTS devs blizz had abandoned them and joined/started other companies.

Apparently money canāt save sc2 haha.
Yup, plus the Davis and Stone characters, the Balius, the basis for Mengskās Ghosts, H&Hās Dominion fleet call down, Vegaās mind control.
The list goes on and on.
I would drop 60 on SC3 because that gets supported for years, but not on a dead game that gets the plug pulled soon after that 60 dollar expansion is out

I replayed each campaign over and over. Doing different challenges and difficulties. It provided a whole lot more than just 15 hours each.

Any older time, I wouldāve pre-ordered. In the time of post-WarCraft 3 Reforged⦠no. I understand that WC3 and Sc2 are different units to blizzard, but from someone who never touched WC3 Reforged, even I felt I got burned
